Does anyone know how to connect a third party NAV system so that the audio comes out over the radio.

It is my understanding that if I had the factory NAV the audio comes over the radio.

I know that I can connect the audio to an AUX input but then I can't listen to the radio or CD. I want some way to mute the radio and sitch to the NAV play when it has a message.

Any ideas?
