Subwoofer Pictures

Does anyone have any pictures of a subwoofer in the back of their trunk/boot for an 07 mini? I will be upgrading my stereo system shortly and I would like some ideas for the subwoofer. Thanks

I recently added a subwoofer in the boot. The subwoofer box is nothing special, but I have bass now. I haven't taken any pics yet. Sorry.

It's an '04 MCS, but would work in an '07 no doubt, as long as you aren't too attached to having backseats.

I didn't do the install. I bought it to a local audio shop. He used the rear speaker to get the signal to the amp. That's all I know.

Why don't you make one to fit under the passenger seat as well? There is a a false floor and pretty large compartment under there.....

the problem with the REALLY NICE one you guys built in MM's boot is, you basically loose the boot. If I pilled suitcases or something in there, the sub would be blocked.

And hurry it up!!!!!

I don't have a step by step for installing the amp and converter as a pro shop did it for me.
The sub is powered off a punch 300.1

I saw a much cleaner install in one of the other forums that had a Boston sub and the super flush mount grill...my grill sticks up about 1/2" or so above the flat part...

8" single voice coil...I can't remember the model number but it was one of the lower priced JL subs...

did you fiberglass in the enclosure? one of the issues with this location is getting a sub shallow enough to fit below the level of the seat mounting brace. The 8W1v2 is just shy of four inches deep while the 8W3v3 is an inch deeper.

I'm going to try an MDF frame sealed right to the sheet metal with some sound dampening applied and polyfill stuffing. Should turn out ok I hope.

Has anyone ever tried installing a sub in the side panel of the boot? One side has the amp (for Hifi), but the other side is empty..... seems like you could get a decent sized sub in there.....
