Manville, the VP at JL Audio...I worked with him on the box for the Subaru Legacy/Outback. Super, super nice guy and normally active on the forums too, though he's not made it to this one.
I liked what i saw on the USD website, though i would like it even more if it replaced the rear passenger panel and utilized the volume that is behind there. maybe the new one will make use of that space....
Anyone in Orange County, Cali?? The below company ALSO wants an R56 for a day to fabricate a new MINI sub enclosure in the boot. Contac them or me, and I'll give you there contact info.

Speaker Works is one of the top install companies in the US. They've been doing it a LONG time and won many awards.
That's exactly what I have been telling these companies. so is anyone in Sothern Cali want to give up the MINI for a day??
Any updates from any of the manufacturer's of stealth sub enclosures that will actually fit the R56? Any other new options out there?

Hey Birdman -
I PM'd you... It seems that JL may be considering a Stealthbox re-design after all. There is a NAM member involved who replied to my thread looking for an R56 owner in South FL. We're waiting to see if it's actually going to happen before posting anything else...

Hi,
I had the back redone so that I could use that space for my kayak gear, etc. Now, it is flat, with the rear boot holding the SW but the box is about two inches higher, then flush with the SW box the remaining floor is carpeted and is hinged so that I can use the seat space as storage space. Also, had an Alpine Imprint 9887, Alpine PDX amp, JL pro speakers, kenwood SW, and the whole car covered with dynamat. I hate getting out of the car - it sounds awesome. I will try to get some pics
Safe n Sound did the custom work and it looks great - deck is a couple inches taller than I wanted but it is working out fine.
