During MTTS I saw video cameras that were mounted...well...all kind of crazy places!! I am always wanting to try new ways of videoing from my MINI and thought I would start a thread where everybody can post their videos from MTTS and mention where they had it mounted so we can see the results.

Except for a little bit of being handheld at the beginning, I had a Kodak Playsport HD on a Gorilla Pod that was wrapped around the passenger headrest rails. Not something you can do easily unless you are running solo!!

This is our entire trip from southern Indiana up to Indy and on to Denver and back. It's a time lapse, one shot every 5 seconds. It is long... 15 minutes! 28,000+ photos. It's a custom mount attached to the passenger headrest rails.

Very good. Love the sound of that engine in the videos.

That is awesome!! I assume you are not clicking a remote shutter every 5 secconds. Dropping the stills in at stoping points was a great touch.


I found this one on YouTube looking for MTTS stuff. It's NOT mine but whoever this is did an awesome job editing. I can't afford that many HD cameras!!
