Ready to Rally

Well we are packed and loaded. Will be leaving in a couple of hours. We are driving from Ohio to San Francisco to start from that end of the country. We're going to head north in Ca. then over to Eureka then down to San Fran. from there.

Going to be a nice fun vacation.

I live in St. Louis and have never stopped over in Colorado, so this trip is great for me.

I'd love to hit either the Chicago or Indy events, but I really don't want to drive in the "wrong" direction. It kills me, though, 'cus I just read about a party in New York City that I'd love to attend. Or the one lap at the Indy Speedway. Or a group photo next to my beloved Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

It's all good. I don't have an apple product to load the MINI app, but I do have a new network called "Ciao" using Gypsii in my Garmin Nav. It posts your location and looks for nearby friends. It'll link up with facebook or twitter also.

Waze is kinda the same thing as mini link but you can post cops, speed cameras, accidents, etc. Great app. I have it on my Droid Incredible.

Now back to the original topic!

Well we made it to California. We're in Eureka for the night then through the Redwoods down to the Bay in the morning. Has been a great trip. Took the long way into Ca. around Tahoe on 431 then 267 up to 89 through Lassen Park to 44 to 299. Lots of twisties and beautiful scenery.

Hey Tom...we're actually heading north to do the MINIcross and Countryman launch party in Chicago this weekend, and then on to Indy with the group. Unfortunately, the leg back to STL will be our last, as funds just don't allow us to go any further. If you change your mind about Chicago and/or Indy, drop me a PM and let me know so we can look for you!

(In case you don't remember, I was parked next to you at Bobby's last Saturday night!)
