Removed, ...last input, now the issue.

installed my MTH file today. on my Odometer there is the letters EP where the miles usually are located. could this be because the file is attempting to reset the ECU? anyone know or have this after they did the MTH upload?

I don't know what this post was supposed to be about but would anyone have a sound clip of an MTH header with JCW exhaust?

 

going to install my MTH header this weekend when i get the gaskets, have the header but no gaskets came with it...

 

I assume you have an auto tranny. This has happened to me with the flash of a software upgrade. The EP and SES lights were triggered, but after about 8-12hrs, the lights disappeared. Probably had to do with the ECU relearning after the upgrade.

 

you are correct, MCSa i was figuring it may take some time for the ECU to reset or complete the program.

Went out to head home yesterday, and started the MCSa the EP was gone, all messages are normal. When move from Auto to Manual get the message SD, then if move to a gear get message of what gear. So it must have been a reset time needed.

This is a pretty common issue for a Cooper CVT or an MCSa when MTH is loaded. It normally goes away and back to normal display within 50 miles or so.
