Throttle body

Is there a difference in size between the throttle body of an One and a Cooper?

I can take over a throttle body of a friend, he has Cooper.

They should be the same. Only MCS is bigger (in size and bore diameter).

Ok thanx!

I had send the question to more persons and they say all the same...
Now I'm thinking to install a M7 58mm throttle body in my One (2005), has this sense?

If you really want it, go for it...

BUT, I've read so many stories about it... From rough idle to check engne light to Limp-mode...

I'd put that $$$ on other parts. Do you have a rear swaybar? It is simply the top 3 mods to do on a MINI. Good brake pads, stainless steel lines, discs?

My 2cents.

When I install the throttle body, I'll do also a remap of my ECU.

I've no rear swaybar, it isn't installble because there are no brackets. The whole subframe should be change.

I agree - I would start elsewhere

I have the MTH Header with the MTH stage 1 tuner file, i still get the EML light comes on. anyone have this issue?

the manual for the MINI states take to dealer but with the tuner file loaded they may say that is the issue. however the issue started when i swapped to the M7 Throttle Body. when i place my stock TB on the issue goes away...

Any suggestions other than keep the stock TB on?

thanks,
Kev
