software for E85
software for E85
Has anyone read anything about a software update that will allow a non-flexfuel car to run the E85 fuel?
There are numerous advantages to running the fuel. Here in the southeast there are more and more of these pumps going up. I, for one, would like to take advantage of the costs savings.
Isn't the main factor in the "conversion", funny to say for a MINI, "richening" the A/F mix to compensate for the lean burning characteristic of alchohol?
Just a thought - maybe someone has came up with already - I just couldn't find anything.
Thanks everyone.

Google "flex fuel conversion" and read up. The acids and corrosives that E-85 create are more of a concern than the mixture ratio. If the fuel eats the seals and lines from the inside . . . not good.
