can MTH self-tuneable?
can MTH self-tuneable?
Can MTH tuneing be self-tuneable? or is there any other ecu tuning thats availble for MCS can be done with out sending the files for upgrade? i mean something like AEM EMS (stand along computer) or any piggy-back device?

Both GIAC and MTH are flashes to the computer that are prepared by the companies, you cannot make custom modifications.
My understanding is that GIAC has two versions one for typical 1st batch of mods (Pulley, CAI, Exhaust), I am running that one now and I'm reasonable pleased, the second is tuned for larger injectors which would be most beneficial with head work and a 19% pulley. The GAIC flash must be done by the reseller.
MTH allows you to do the flash. You get software from them that downloads your cars current program and they supposedly produces a custom file based on your mods. I purchased the MTH software also about a month ago because the tuner offering gives you a year of free upgrades. I am planning on make several big modifications over the next couple of months and wanted to update the software as I go but after nearly a month I still don't have the first file so I'm not sure of the practicality of getting updates from MTH as you put new mods in, you may need to plan a month or two in advance.
I don't know what the unichip system is like, if the user can customize the parameters but that one is a piggy back anyway.
In theory you could use the AEM or Hondata systems but you would need to make a wiring harness (I don't think either has one for the Mini) and without the base maps it would take some time to really tune a car with one of these. Frankly unless you have serious bucks or access to a dyno I wouldn't want to be the first to try it.

my main point is to tune the car for more economy side. so far no upgrade to my car yet. but want to cut down the buget for gas. As of my other car (EVO8) i am running a piggy-back computer system which i store up to 3 different maps, like save gas while you are not racing, then switch different map when you racing.
