Mth Tuner Stumble And Pinging
I just installed my MTH Tuner file last nite and it worked out fine. The only thing i have a problem with is that i still have the over 3k stumble and heard it ping once or twice. other than that, the car is an animal and now i have to find some new tires cuz it lites em up even more.
PINGING??? And you're still running it???

I have had no issues with the tuner file it does need the high octane to perform properly so you may just have to get some Sunoco 94 if its pinging. The 3k stumble never experienced it, as a matter of fact "THDUKE" has never stumbled before or after JCW install
Perhaps the car should go on the dyno. this week! Glad to hear the tuner file rocks? Normally the knock sensor should retard the timing before detonation starts melting exhaust valves or pinging for that matter. Maybe a pissing rather than spraying injector?
I figured it should retard if it hears ping but i heard it once. Now thinking about it, i notice ping when im runnin down towards 1/4 tank which still shouldnt happen with a knock sensor.
Im thinking bad gas......Injectors are brandy new ( doesnt mean a thing ) but i doubt its that. Ill be on the dyno tuesday or wednesday nite to see how my air/fuel is lookin to see if Franz has to re-tune my program for me. I thought the throttle repsonse would be alot better off idle....
