Note to Automatic owners:
If the car runs really strange and has an EML light on it with Tuner file, drive 50 miles and the ECU and the ECM for the Transmission will sync back up and everything will be fine. This is just due to the new programming having to talk to the transmission, and get everything sorted out.

Do you mean MCSa? Or MC CVT?
Just to expand what Volker said and in no way pretending to be a language expert...
"Ca." is an a abreviation for the Latin word "circa". Usually used to loosly reference a date...

So with the TUNER file you get 200hp out of a STOCK MCS? No pulley no nothing? How much can I expect out of a STOCK MCS '03 with a 3" cat-back exhaust with only one muffler?
Thanks.
And while I'm at it, how many hp does a 15/17/19% pulley add?
Thanks.

Check out the thread on this support forum called "JCW and Tuner File..."- He got 207 hp [estimated at the crank] out of a JCW [14% reduction pulley] plus stainless header, alta CAI, and MTH Tuner, along with plugs and coil pack on street fuel. Even with the MTH header, there's just no way you can count on 200 hp if you use the commonly accepted 12-13% driveline loss. Maybe if you're _really_ lucky. 200 honest hp takes a _lot_ more than the MTH Tuner file on an average stock MCS.

He didn't post what driveline loss the dyno he used employed, so we can only guess what actual whp he is achieving. Don't expect 200 crank hp out of just a re-tune. You'll be setting yourself up for disappointment, that's all.

STOCK MCS - 163HP
MTH TUNER MCS - xxxHP

So, MTH is claiming 200hp? But there are no dynos for it or what?

Under the Federal Trade Commission Act:
- advertising must be truthful and non-deceptive;
- advertisers must have evidence to back up their claims;
Note the part where advertisers must have evidence to back up their claim or they are in VIOLATION of Federal Law
Also it says "ads that make claims that consumers would have trouble evaluating for themselves," meaning that the FTC looks closely at ads that the average consumer would have a hard time personally evaluating.
Just wondering
