A trip to San Francisco & back cleared the 1000km mark. All's well
What about MCSa?
Just wanted to know more about versions for MCSa.
I had mine back in July, and I'd like to know if there's any updates/changes I should be aware of for my car?
Interestingly, ever since I had the most recent dealer ECU map update, v42.1, the car has lost some of the "thrust" but returned a slightly better gas mileage. However, I miss the stronger pull from the engine, and would like to know more about any new versions from MTH!

Can anyone provide an exact part number or description for the Sensolutions USB cable. I checked out the Sensolutions web site and came away more confused than amused...

Yeah, the info would have bitten me if it was a snake... Since this is a FAQ section of NAM and I didn't find any specifics, thought I'd fill in some blanks...
USB/OBDII Cable info:
www.sensolutions.com
Part# 24-EA-ISOPT-02-251 / $129.50
www.mth-usa.com
Part# CAB002 / $110.00
Thought I'd buy connectors and be Mr. Clever by making up my own cable, but after looking at the schematics purchasing a premade cable is the rational thing to do. Thru my myopic eyes, both cables look identical.

Having just gone through every error Cartune will produce (I was in the heat way too much today), here is a list of errors, and their causes.
Message: Unable to open the COM port. -> Fault at serial connection.
Cause: No serial devices on that port.
Solution: Chose the correct port!
Message: Echo is missing: Adapter available? -> startCommunication_Request do not send.
Cause: Cable is detected, but no response is given on the port.
Solution: You need to plug the cable into the OBD-2 port, make sure it is plugged in, and make sure the car is on.

Something VERY important to remember when using a USB->OBD2 cable.
Go to Control Panels > System
Click on the Hardware > Device Manager
Scroll down to Ports. Click on it. Now you'll see something that says USB Serial Port (COMX). X being the port you need to set Cartune to. Also, if the COMX is over 5 (say COM6), then you have to double click on it, and go to advanced, and set the port to 5 or lower.
