1st offical MUTA is a GO!!!

EDIT: ****MUTA will be held OCT 25-28****

Ok everyone, just thought I'd give you all an update that we are going to hold the first annual MUTA this year. We have narrowed it down to the last two weekends in Sept. The prefered will be Sept 20-23, but we might hold this the weekend after.

Anyway, I hope to see you all there this year, post here with your interest, and also, let me know which weekend would be better as we'll be making decisions here shortly.

EDIT - ****MUTA WILL BE HELD OCT 25-28***

Yes, the more MINIs / Minis the better. We had a great time last year, but this year is going to be much better.

That looks good, Matt

Since the Conclave (Colorado English Motoring Conclave) is scheduled for Sept 15-16, as always, this year. Nobody around here misses the Conclave so this allows pp who can to do both.

Thanks for posting. If you want to bring a flyer / announcement etc. to MITM in August, we will have hundreds of guests and we are happy to help you promote.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I wish I was able to go to MITM this year, and I actually started to make arrangments just this past month, but then I noticed it was scheduled during the Salt Lake ProSolo this year. I'm quite active in our local SCCA autocross and I'll be helping prep for it. Just really bad luck, because I REALLY enjoyed MITM last year, I actually skipped AMVIV for this so I could get enough vacation time. I'll see if anyone else from our UT club is going and send some flyers with them.

Thanks for the heads up MattMan, I'm looking forward to this opportunity!

Now as for the weekend... that may be difficult. If I have a preference I'd like to see it happen on the weekend of the 21st. We've got other plans for the following two weekends, so that's my preference.

I realize that the whole event can't be planned around one individual, so I'll have to hope for the best. I'd love to come and visit those arches, lets hope that it's a weekend I can participate.

September 20-23 is good by me!

Yep, Karen is still the right person at the dealership to talk to, and she'll post'em up at the Mini division most likely. I'll take some to our Mini events as well.

Japic, I hope you'll be able to make it as well. It seems a lot of people can make one week and not the other. We're still in limbo, but it actually looks like it will be the week of 27-30 after talking to quite a few people. We'll still have to see though. Dates may even change the closer we get, you never know with Moab and what they have planned out. It's a busy little tourist town of course.

Right on Tommy, keep checking here as we get more details and a more "official" thread going.

If you do it the earlier weekend, it would be a great way to celebrate the Autumnal Equinox (change of season).

I believe that this will be the right weekend. There is supposed to be a full moon. Making a midnight run enevitable.

Sept. 20-23 is open for me.
If I go, will everyone be okay with hanging near Firey Furnace at sunset? We can eat dinner/ have Happy Hour at sunset anytime at home, but taking pictures in Arches is a special experience not to be missed.

I really wish all the schedules would mesh. But after looking at it, Sept 27-30 is the weekend it's going to happen. I know there are a few of you that the weekend before would be best, but 27-30 is the date.

I'm definitely interested. Will we be going off-road?

That could be fun. What tires would you recommend for slick rock?

Believe it or not, slicks work best. At least on the mountain bike.
