I didn't get any flooding during hurricane Matthew last year, but I did leave the car up on my lift before I evacuated...


...I purchased the car last year from the original owner down in South Florida. He babied it; I was the first person to drive it other than him on the test drive. The only reason he was selling it is because he found a 911 he wanted.


The car has all books and records. Mods include strut tower reinforcement, cabrio tower reinforcement, stainless brake lines, and the in-line drive-by-wire program thing (don't know what it's called, but it gets rid of mini's funky throttle calibration). Euro driver's side parcel shelf installed. Coco mats for the front are also present.


I've did do one track day in the car and Carolina Motorsports Park. It was my first time there and actually my first time not in an E30 or E36 M3 so wasn't really driving too hard until the last 10 min of the final session when I gave a point by to a track prepped C5 Z06. I had only put Hawk HP Plus pads for the event, but was able to match his lap times but had to hustle pretty well. you can see the a little of the remnants on the runflats.

there are a few rock chips on the bonnet. a door ding just under the driver's side scuttle. There's a faint scratch on the passenger quarter panel. See wheel pics for rash.


This car has the options to get (or not to) in my opinion. See options on window sticker below. This in an awesome R53 that you can be proud of. Price is $11,000

Nice! A truly rare car instead! Slicktop with JCW and the Chrono gauges is a great spec for a fast gen 1 MINI! GLWS!

The new pics are great. That is one car that has never seen any road salt as the bolts and nuts show no sign of rust.

Looks like a great example of the R53 with JCW package. Deserves a bump and a buyer who will continue to rock this little supercharged rocket. GLWS.

Bump for a garage with a lift.. and of course a nice pristine JCW. This will make the right buyer's day.

 

I'm tempted. Especially since I live about 2 hours away... But I wasn't planning on spending that much. I was just gonna buy a high mileage one and rebuild/ modify... Hmmm... Decisions decisions...

Maybe try putting it on bringatrailer.com? This is the only stripped factory JCW I have ever seen (slicktop is rare enough).

What do you mean "stripped"?

 

Stripped usually means no options.

In the US ordering the JCW Package ($6,300) also required ordering the Sport Package ($1,400). This car was also optioned with Chrono Package, MFSW, Armrest and Rear Fog Lamps.

I've been offered $13k for my 05 R53 JCW with 17k miles on it.
