...thank you fir reaching out all...just sore I guess...the black Los is odd somewhat -no heated seats(I thought they all did) and I’m wondering if that non original winds hike is incorrect and does not have the rain/windshield sensing option as it should...I’ll check it out but It doesn’t look nearly as good as the one I got screwed on-probably be a looooong time before I find one like that and at that price point-thanks again

Sorry to hear you ran into a dishonest seller.
.
You DID get the deposit back from him, correct? He has absolutely no basis for keeping it (even if he considered it non refundable), since he did not honor the contract.
Wow. **** move.... sorry you had to experience that. But like others said, you might have dodged a bullet. Given his lack of morals, you wonder if there was anything else wrong with the car.
You wonder why the car was priced so low, when a similar car was just sold on BAT for $3k more.

And the R52 Sidewalk that sold on BaT for ~$3K more was not a JCW (it was an S).
$13k not overly ridiculous and would be highly highly tempted to fly across the country for it if I had the immediate funds but unfortunately I do not right now and I'm hesitant to take out a loan...
...but,
if it sits there for a while because people balk at the price then dammit! maybe I would go ahead and get a loan for it if the price drops enough! LOL
I will be keeping an eye on it,
thanks for posting the link!
PS
is this car listed on any other sites?
Although the dealer has ***'d out the VIN, sometimes it'll be listed in full somewhere like CarGurus etc.
Would love to see the build sheet for it.

Glad to have help all those who have helped me find cars here!!! Hope you can get it!
This is an interesting car to me BTW, because the BRG one I want in San Diego has the checker wing, checker mats, rearview, sideview mirrors, silver top, and modern silver bonnet stripes... It's almost like the green one is a pseudo cross-breed Checkmate package car but not quite. The really curious thing though is that the green one has what appear to be aftermarket twin gauges on either side of the tach, just like this blue 'true' Checkmate car has in Sacramento... What's the deal here? California dealer installed gauge package option? Or purely just coincidence?

AFAIK, this hood stripe wasn’t exclusive to the Checkmate, but I’m pretty sure the checkerboard rear wing graphic is aftermarket.
This dual gauge setup is aftermarket, but there was a factory steering column dual gauge accessory in addition to the more common under toggle switch gauge accessory that was standard on MC40’s. The pic isn’t very good, but the Sacramento Checkmate looks like it has the factory version.

Got it, so on the green car, chalk up all the checker stuff as aftermarket garbage (except the floor mats), and on the Blue Checkmate in Sacramento, there's a good chance it has the factory gauge pods.... so the only real coincidence is the modern silver bonnet stripes and silver painted tops... UPDATE: I had the build sheet on the green car already, and it also has the 3AF silver roof and mirrors, as well as the 3AK silver bonnet stripes just like the checkmate car....duh.
Man that low mile Checkmate with the right OEM wheels and Aero package would be a dream car (green or not!)....
Here's a slightly larger picture I URL 'hacked' from the dealer website:

MINI had interior and exterior checkered mirror caps so those are probably factory. The JCW mats can probably be sold for some good money if they’re not worn out.

Ahh thanks for that clarification on the OEM checker bits - looks like the exterior mirror caps are really getting yellowed... and I'm not a fan of the rear view mirror cover and vinyl checkers anyway... but no matter what, those OEM checker floor mats belong in that Space Blue Checkmate JCW! Gonna have to buy both cars to make that happen! LOL Anybody interested in a loaded 2021 F56 JCW?
BTW, if you want to see what the OEM gauge pods look like, along with the Space Blue Aero kit etc... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...i-cooper-s-27/ (just don't look at the final sales price - tell me these cars aren't appreciating!)

^ the BaT Checkmate above was rough around the edges. Look closely at the photo gallery. Allmag saved it, pulled that one together, then sold it on BaT.
But yes, clean lower mileage R53s (especially JCW and GP) are climbing in value for sure.

Oh yea, looked at the pics a little closer, it was banged up a bit.
I'd guess that JCW's ordered with special packages (like Checkmate) will have their own value bump too...which I guess the GP1 counts toward that as well like you said
