Up for sale is my 2005 Mini Cooper S.

I bought this car back in April in order to offset miles for a leased vehicle I turned in a few months ago. I absolutely love driving this, but I need something more "practical" for work, and I don't have any room to keep it.

This car spent most of its life in Hawaii. A guy in the Navy was transferred to Baltimore earlier in the year, so this car has never seen a winter. The aftermarket parts were installed by a former Mini certified mechanic. Based on my conversation with the previous owner, the car was modified for the track, but it never actually made it to the track.

Mechanically, the Mini's in decent shape. I took it to two different places to get inspected (and received two different answers). There are some mechanical repairs that should be repaired in the next year or two. The Mini's not in great cosmetic shape, so this won't be the right fit for someone looking for a clean body/interior.

The pros:
*Only 65,*** miles
*John Cooper Works aero package & air intake
*17% pulley reduction in the supercharger
*Alta Intercooler
*Hotchkis adjustable suspension with 32-setting front dampening (I find that the "22" setting is best for street use, but its amazing how tight it gets around "15")
*M7 Strut Tower Brace
*Borla exhaust (it's a bit loud when the seats are folded down, but it sounds phenomenal)
*17" Ruff Racing Wheels
*Harman Kardon sound system (sounds great)

The cons:
*Large ding in the trunk lid and a few smaller ones around the body
*Wheels are a bit beat up
*One of the exterior fog lights is cracked; the other exterior fog light is loose and won't stay straight
*Some of the carbon fiber on the hood scoops has chipped away
*Interior fog light cover came loose and fell into the front fender
*Bolts to remove the front bumper and front spoiler are stripped
*Headlights are oxidized (I haven't tried cleaning these)
*Volt gauge doesn't work
*Interior trim piece is loose on passenger side
*Radio works but display isn't functional and rubber **** is peeling off
*Driver front seat has significant cracking in the leather
*Headliner has completely come loose and needs to be replaced
*Clutch is starting to rub (probably needs to be replaced in the next 10,000-20,000 miles)

I went to an independent Mini shop when I first bought the car
*Spent about $1,000 in an oil change, general inspection and oil leak repair

I went to a Mini dealership after 5,000 miles for an oil change and inspection. The dealer recommended the following repairs:
*Replace oil pan gasket
*Replace rear main seal (recommended to wait until the clutch needs replacement)
*Fix right front boot
*Replace hose from reservoir pump
*Replace rear sway bar mount

Including the purchase price, I have about $8,500 into this car. If I had a garage, I would probably hang on to it and complete some of the work myself, but I don't. This will be a great fit for someone who understands the value of the aftermarket parts in the R53 body. It is a blast to drive.
