I bought the car from BMW USA with 8k on the odometer in in July 2014.
I am the first registered owner.
I was told that it was a demo that one of their regional representatives used to get around in the So Cal area.

I am looking for a GP. Do you still have the car? if so, does the car have a transferable extended warranty? Smoker/non-smoker?Wondering if the car will smog in California? Was the maintenance kept up?

Yes, still have it.
The car has just the original factory warranty. Which transfers. I didn't buy any sort of extended warranty on it.
I do not smoke. No funky smells in it.
Sure it'll smog in Cali. That's where I bought it. We'd have to ask one of the Manic tune guys if it'll pass like it is. Otherwise, switching it back to the stock map and swapping the downpipe back to stock takes about an hour.

I bought the car with 8k on the odometer. The oil was changed during the recon along with all the typical filters. At 10k the service light came on. So, I took it to Mini of North Scottsdale. They changed the oil again, along with everything else that they do for the scheduled 10k service. Brake flush, etc. I've since only driven it 4300 miles. So, it's not due just yet.

 

Will pass smog if scanned. If they do a really good visual inspection on a lift they might notice lack of catted downpipe.
