2003 MC-Indi Blue/White-OctaneGuy's MINI
2003 MC-Indi Blue/White-OctaneGuy's MINI
SOLD!!!!!! Second time around
Well folks, here's my ad for my MINI. I posted it on Craigslist for $15,500, but I'm offering it here on NAM to any enthusiast for (**$13,500**). I'm really looking for a good home for my MINI. to sweeten the deal, I'll include a years worth of free detailing--just bring it to me, and I'll wash and polish the paint. I'd say it would be reasonable to visit me once every 2 to 3 months--so figure the value on that--sorry there is no cash value--so if you don't want it, I won't lower the price.
Here are the specifics:
2003 Indi Blue/White 5 Speed MC with 65,000 miles
with factory leather, DVD nav, and all packages (Sorry no HK audio or cold weather).
Bonuses: Added MCS side skirts, chrome gas cap, and rear bumper to make it more sporty.
Owned by meticulous non smoking MINI enthusiast that is a professional detailer. Accident free, and I've done my best to keep it ding free. Any dings were immediately removed by PDR. Car sounds great, drives fast, but fuel efficient if desired.
New Clutch and tranny installed at 43,000 miles by South Bay MINI.
All vinyl except bonnet stripe has been removed and professionally buffed out and waxed. Will do again before delivery. Always garaged, so paint is in excellent condition. I'm a professional detailer, so a swirl free finish was always mandatory. Maintained with PC polisher and Meguiar's polishes. Paint looks wet and is free of any bonded above surface contaminants. Wheels were cleaned several times a day. Smoke free interior (non smoker).
Car is up to date with all service bulletins. Just purchased and installed new MINI battery on 10/11/06. Registration tags was just renewed for the next year. I fully own the MINI and have the pink slip in hand.
Originally purchased from Roadshow MINI in Memphis, TN in Sept. 2003, and driven cross country back to LA. Purchased out of state because I was on waiting lists for over a year and wanted to avoid high markups. Car is fully registered in California. This is a July build 2003 model.

Thanks for the nice comments. Seems I've got an interested buyer coming later tonight. She's a night and day difference from my last one.
Trending Topics
Though she admits she doesn't know much about cars, she and her bf test drove one at some event in Europe. She's a photographer, and he works over at Sony--they just moved here.
Definitely night and day difference--she actually read my post and called me the MINI guy. LOL. Though she did say she's looking at a few MINI's--but that's cool. I told her I'd offer her a free year of detailing as well as introduce her to c3ers and she seemed happy. LOL.

If she doesn't know much though, she might not appreciate how great your offer is.
Bump...
I made a change to the specs. The Remus exhaust has been removed and replaced with a stock Cooper exhaust. I had the opportunity to brighten the life of someone who has a very difficult life and has very little opportunity to buy anything fun for his MINI.

Given all the great write ups you've done while you owned your MC, I think it belongs in a MINI museum someplace. It looks like it is in excellent condition, and your price is very reasonable given all the mods. If you weren't across the country I'd consider for my 16 year old son.

LOL, you guys are too nice. Thanks! I've got a couple serious inquiries today including one of my neighbors! I've got a feelig it'll be gone by the weekend.
If anyone else is thinking about it, please let me know ASAP!
Thanks!

MINI bump!
Don't forget, buy my MINI, and I'll include a years worth of free professional detailing! Yep, that's worth atleast $200 right there (my MINI rate)--and I figure a visit once every 2 to 3 months--will work out to around 4 to 6 visits or nearly $1,000 in free detailing for the first year! Of course there is no cash value, so if you're out of state, I won't reduce the price.
It's just my way to make sure you properly maintain the finish I've worked so hard for atleast the first year!

Owning a piece of MINI history??
Well I never really considered that my MINI was thaaat special, but along with the many writeups I've done for this MINI, it was also one of Dave's first photo experiments!
Captured here in the best possible light.

And then it was immortalized as the back of the MINI playing cards by Earl Kinsel.

Thanks!! The new owner reads NAM, so hopefully he will post something eventually. He seems like a great guy that can really appreciate this MINI. I've invited him to join c3 so I will get to see my old baby once in a while.

WOW! I totally missed this thread. I'm sorry to see you sell the MC, but I'm glad it went to a good home. That guy got a great deal on a great car.
Good luck with the S and I can't wait to see it.

Ok, I really hate to have to do this, but I'm going to put this back for sale as a backup.
The last buyer gave me a bad check, and I believed his story of having to leave town for a bit for a sick family member. I don't know if he was genuine or not, he sure seemed that way, but considering, I still have my car in the garage, and he hasn't left me anything worthy of a deposit, I'm going to relist my car.
So if anyone is still interested in my car, let me know.
**sigh**
