MINI JB/JB Non S to a good home

I've recently bought a different car. I thought about keeping both but it just doesn't make sense right now. Sadly my MINI must find a new home.
I bought this car new and have taken very good care of it. Car is in very good shape and was driven with restraint. I'd love to sell this car to the member of our community or a friend of the community. Please spread the word. I'd prefer to sell the car with the mods and won't part it out unless it stays for sale for awhile.

2004 Cooper
The car came with no packages because I wanted to personalize it over time.
I've done the following mods.
Factory roof rack
Trailer hitch (for very light motorcycle trailer)
Rear sway bar (installed by Helix)
Short shift Kit (installed by Helix)
Remus exhaust (throaty but not loud)
Intake (can't remember which) again added a little sportiness to the sound
Ian's auto up window switch
Ipod adapter
Euro shelf
Glove box organizer
Factory sport seats (in leatherette) I still have the originals, I thought they lacked support.
Piaa driving lights (awesome addition)
Konig Next wheels (17s) decreased weight and added a nice touch (I still have the original holies and tires with 5,000 miles)
Set of aluminum Winter wheels (16s) with Blizzaks
Winter (rubber) mats
Cloth Mats
Boot Mat
MINI Outdoor cover

My car currently has 35,500 miles and just had it's 36,000 mile service. I've also had oil changes (with Mobile 1) done between each factory recommended service (I just can't get used to the long times between oil changes ). Car has never been smoked in. The car doesn't have any squeaks or rattles, it runs great. The only problem I've had is the battery needed to be replaced (under warranty). Other than that, nothing. I keep very good care of the car, it has a couple of small blemishes on the rear bumper but other than that it's very nice. I'm located in PA. I have pictures in the gallery here.

I'm thinking $15,875 with all the mods and $14,875 without (except rear sway bar and short shifter, they stay). Feel free to PM or email me. Thanks for looking. I'm going to miss being a member of the "MINI" club. Jack

Ooops...

Sorry about that, it's a 2004 (edited above). No Cruise or heated seats or sunroof. I wanted a basic car to start with when I bought it. Thanks for asking and pointing out the ommision.

Well....

I've got 144 views but no real responses. Am I asking too much for my car or is it just less interest in the Non S Coopers? I'm open for suggestions. Thanks in advance. Jack

Prices seem a bit high, although I love the color... but mainly because w/o the MFSW, the car is not desirable to me. I guess it's because I expect those features in any new car and really don't understand why it's not standard equipment on the MINI. Especially a new car selling for around $20K.

Then again, others have been commenting about having difficulty selling their cars recently, so maybe it's just the market right now.

Thanks Ian

I appreciate the feedback Ian. I thought adding your auto up window feature would more than make up for the lack of MFSW. When I bought this car originally I was impressed by all of the features you get for the money. Particularly in the safety area, abs, airbags along with the power windows, tpms, leatherette seating and excellent fit and finish made me feel like I was getting a high end econo/sporty car, not a stripped down luxury vehicle. Besides I wanted something a little more simple (less to go wrong). Everyone who gets in the car is impressed by how solid it is for a small car. I have to agree.

I'm starting to think about taking all of the mods off and lowering the price. The mods may be scaring people off. I thought they may attract people who wanted something different but wouldn't have to mess with it themselves. Maybe simple is the way to go.

Again thanks for the feedback.

Wrong "Ian". Ian C (GBMINI) did the auto-up mod.

I can definitely understand the KISS theory. But I guess with the amount of miles I drive every day, CC is something I don't want to live without.

In general, parting out mods is a good idea. Maybe even the Helix SSK as well. I've installed a few of these and being the dramatic change that it is, it's not for everyone and shouldn't be that hard to remove. A lift would be nice, but I install it with only the front of the car on ramps.

SOLD to a great home

I'm happy to announce that my MINI will be going to my 23 year old Nephew. Wish I had a car that cool when I was that age. Thrilled that it's staying in the family, plus, I get first dibs on buying it back. Thanks to all, I'll still be lurking.
