Love the Innos. I'm guessing this is the 6 gauge dash right? What's the asking price?

This looks like the one that is listed on Minimania, there was also a discussion surrounding it. I think that the price was around $7000

This is NOT THE CAR ON anywhere on minimania. Please don't imply that it is without reasonable investigation.

Updated original post with price. sorry.

I don't have a good picture of the dash, but will post what I do have.
Very clean car, excellent body, glass, etc..... recent brake lines and tune up.
Runs very strong.

I'm not sure - I'm just posting it for the owner. I think it's a 1275 S, but it may be a 1300 - you'll have to ask him.

Beautiful Mini! If I didn't already have an Alfa in my project car space I probably would have bit. Good luck with your sale.

Link to listing on Minimania, same description, same color and I bet you that the boot area/interior in your car is red and not blue is it not?

http://www.minimania.com/web/id/7457...ale_Detail.cfm

Here it is on MiniGuy's website as well

http://www.miniguy.com/Consign1?id=b...ad01cb6670034c

And the link to the posting on minimania where people talk about whether or not this is a real Innocenti

http://www.minimania.com/web/threadi.../msgthread.cfm

If I am incorrect I will gladly apologize.

H82WRK - you are absolutely correct! This appears to be the same car. I now eat crow and apologize myself. I did look on minimania's forum and didn't find it, searching for Innocenti and others. It does seems to be discussed in various threads. Thanks for all the links! Hope that helps possible buyers. I really have no interest in this, just helping out the seller.

I do agree with this comment: NOTE: ...Based on info received, there's a possibility that the Mini might be more accurately described as a "Innocenti 1300 Cooper-style Mini w/ 1275cc & discs,"

I do know it is a fine Mini, as I have seen it closely. It does have a red interior on the boot. Zero rust. I also do know the people at Automotive Restorations who did the recent work on it, and they are extremely competent automotive technicians.

I have owned 18 classics, and this is a nice one, although it has some quirks, such as the boot, it is interesting, I sure a good driver, and the price looks reasonable to me. Certainly does not look like a 5K car, nor an 11K car either. I would guess, from my monthly readings of Sports Car Market, this car would be well bought at $8500.

cheers

Not a problem. Appreciate the apology

I just remember this Mini because it was one I considered before finding my 67 Mini. I did a search on Minimania for Miniguy and that is how I found the thread with some very good information inregards to this particular Mini and Innocenti Minis in general.

I think that if you take a look at the upgrades that this Mini has, regardless of whether it is in fact an Innocenti, you will find it is a purposeful (I made that word up I think) Mini, nice size engine, mechanicals have been gone through, and then coupled with some extra exterior goodies, it could be a worthwhile Mini for someone. To anyone looking to purchase this Mini there are loads of pictures on the listing on Minimania. I also talked directly with Miniguy and he stated that the Mini is a very reliable driving car. The only reason I passed on this was the price was too high for my budget and it was a little too new for me.

Good luck with the sale, I hope your friend finds a home for his Mini!

This is such a cool Classic. If I hadn't bought one about a month ago, I just might consider this one. The only thing is I wanted right hand drive... however, I think I could make an exception!
COOL CAR!

how safe do you reckon a classic would be for a FIRST car?

I wanted one with airbags, but they're so unavailable!

Well they aren't going to be as safe as new one... however, people were driving these before there were airbags and all the safety features.

Exactly! I know that I tend to be more cautious when I'm in mine and especially if I do venture onto the highway / expressway, but you know I just make sure that I'm very alert and focused.

Well I've raced a go cart for 3 years already so thats why I like the MINI...essentially it is a street legal, larger go cart (to me at least). I was able to drive one at the age of 8 (sat in one only though, it was a race car)
