FS: 1968 Classic Mini Cooper with LSVTEC motor conversion Scarry fast!

Closest offer to 20k takes it!

Minitec's fg flip front.
B18b LS motor with 2000si Head and GSR tranny
Complete adjustable suspension all around
Big Brake kit from an 85 mini
No rips or tears on the interior
Paint is decent
Wilwood 5/8" Clutch MC
RHD
MOMO shift ****
Car runs and stops like no other
1.8L B18b LS VTEC, OBD1 management system, stock B16 intake, bulkhead has NOT been cut or modified, Spoon knock-off header with free flow exhaust, was dynoed at 148 hp at the wheels last summer. The motor has a stock Civic Si vtec head. With a modified cams and cam gears ?hp gain would be achieved, but it would be insane to have that kind of power with a small light car like this. VTEC starts at 5500rpm and tops out at 8000rpm
Transmission is hydraulic from a 2000 acura GSR with Stage II Clutch. Clutch has a real sport's car feel.
Brakes and wheels: large 8.4 rotor discs up front with stock street pads. Stock drums in the rear. ALLEYCAT alloy wheels with color matched centers, Blue and Red double springs in front and hi-los at the rear. GAZ gas adjustable shocks on all 4 wheels.
Interior: Cloth black/red seats from a Honda del Sol with rear matching seat and custom door cards. The original 3 clock center dash was retained to give it is heritage feel. Autometer gauges all around.
Exterior: The grill will be replaced with a chrome mkI style one. Car was painted in Chili Red with Jet Black roof and bonnet stripes. The fg flip front flips back for easy access to the engine bay. Pictures show the car with 13" wheels.
This is a very very unique car, fully legal for registration transfer to any state including California. Most conversions have been done using extended noses and B series 1.6 or 1.8 engines because it's easier and everything is readily availalble. This car is extended about 4 inches and has the B18b 1.8L LSVTEC most people talk about because it's capable of producing more hp and torque than ITR. This car runs extremely well and will cruise effortlessly at 80 to 90 mph all day. It has an aluminum radiator with a 1600 cfm electric fan and it does not run hot, i have driven it in traffic during rush hour at near 100 degrees air temp and even after a couple hours it does not get above normal temp. if you live in the area and wish to see the car and drive it, please call, i am not open to trades or silly offers. i know full well that this is a very special VTEC mini in north america and also one of the very few with a B18b LSVTEC. If you are looking for a car that is the "Ultimate Sleeper!" just email me. thx

Click here to see how it was done.
