Feeler: 2007 MINI Cooper S, Chilli Red, DON'T LOOK!
Feeler: 2007 MINI Cooper S, Chilli Red, DON'T LOOK!
This Mini Cooper S placed 2nd at the SCCA National Championship in G-Stock class this last September, missing the championship by a mere 0.017 seconds! I hate to sell it and move away from Mini since this is my 4th and favorite Mini by a long shot. Most of the miles are highway miles, in fact, off the top of my head, I can think of 7000 miles on just a handful of road trips.
This Mini had an MSRP of $25050 and has approximately $4K in extra's that really make this Mini MUCH better than one off the dealer lot, take a peak at the link below and see for yourself! ;-)
This is a one of a kind 07 MCS with the following......
2007 Mini Cooper S
14K miles, mostly highway
Chilli Red/Black
Sport Suspension
LSD
Xenon Headlights
Carbon Cloth interior
Quicksilver exhaust $1K value
Motegi Traklite 17x7 wheels w/Kumho SPT Tires $1500 value
Stud Conversion kit w/lugs $100 value
Factory Aero Kit
Way Motorworks painted wheel arches $600 or so value
Clearbra $700 value
Rubber Floor Mats $80 value
Also included in the sale would be all my knowledge and unlimited input on setup if the buyer was wanting to autocross. I took the Koni shocks/struts off, so, its currently on the stock shocks, but, I'd be happy to allow for the new owner to use my dyno info for building new shocks since we had one of the best, if not the best, handling G-Stock Mini in the country at the 2007 National Championship(we revalved our Koni's to our special setup on the fronts the night before the warmup event, and, I can tell you the car rocked at Nats, especially day 2 when we made a slight adjustment).
The rear bumper has a couple marks(one smaller than dime size puncture from lic. plate bolt head) where my wife was lightly bumped by another driver. Its not even really noticeable, especially since I put some matching Chilli Red vinyl over the one puncture temporarily.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, I'm willing to make someone a REALLY good deal if things work out as planned for my other project.
I'd be asking a firm $22,500.
I hate to sell it, but, a few recent events over the last month or so have really got my mind thinking about going a different direction with my SCCA activities. ;-) And, since this car is basically new, I think now is the time to sell if my other deal works out. I will miss competing in Mini's, but, feel its time to move on.....
Anyone?
See pics below on the QuickSilver Exhaust website of my actual car, keep in mind, the vinyl "QuickSilver" is easily removed and does not harm paint.....

I am out of town until the 13th of February, so, if anyone is interested, please PM me and I will discuss interest in a potential purchase. If someone is serious, I'll act on my other option while its still available.

Please keep in mind, all vinyl is easily removed, and will be within an hour of sale, and doesn't damage the paint. I would have the Mini detailed to insure a showroom appearance at time of delivery.

Muggy
Thanks, Mini USA ultimately decided to do the right thing, but, with all the grief that was caused by them, It made me look around and decide that Mini wasn't right for me at the moment. Its just sad I signed the paperwork on this beauty just over 4 months ago. ;-(
Yeah, I'm eyeballing a certain Miata at the moment. Anyway, time is of the essence. $22K anyone?

Because I was planning on selling, and, I sold the Koni's for $1500. My past experience shows that noone is willing to pay that kind of money for mods left on a Mini. However, I have the Dyno's available if you want to buy the car and put identical Koni's on it. As far as lowering, I'd go with some coilovers if I were you rather than Koni's and then lowering.
more or less, how much time & distance has this car been on the track?
Also, do you have any pictures of the interior of the car.

As far as how much track time/distance, autocross is a parking lot event that lasts roughly 40 seconds on average per run with 3 runs per event, sometimes 4 runs, so, maybe 20 autocross miles I'd guess?
$21900?
Yeah, thats autocross, a far cry from "racing" this is my daily driver and this car is in OEM form....
autocross consists of a 30-50 second run with speeds usually not to exceed 50-60 mph with many courses limited to 40-45mph.

The average consumer will not know the difference.
Most consumers will greatly downgrade the value of the car if any changes had been done. Even more so if it "came in 2nd place" and "has rubs from another racers car"
lol, rubs from another racers car? If I say I haven't raced it, well, I haven't, if someone chooses to make that assumption after I tell them otherwise, thats their right to think that I am lying I suppose.
I'm not going to lie and say I haven't autocrossed it though. I have sold 3 Minis on NAM, all have been autocrossed, but, never raced. I will probably list it on traderonline now that i am back home and can take some legit pics and such.... Oh, and, it doesn't have any mods to it other than the exhaust.... lol
Some NAM members crack me up with their ability to assume, please don't encourage them to assume my car has been raced, rubbed, modded, etc..... The paperwork was signed on this Mini in mid September and is basically a new R56 that doesn't have any mods, its never been rubbed, raced or ran into a wall, lol
If anyone is interested in my Mini, please feel free to post....

If it has rubs from Auto-X then something would be terribly wrong. This member has sold many bit and pieces on NAM and I've bought a few. Always have been advertised for exactly what they are or even understated. I'd not hesitate to buy a car from an AutoX'er that came in 2nd in the Nationals. Takes a good butt and smooth hands to accomplish this. The car never felt it. Now if was a last place car in the local Auto-X, then I'd know the car was rode hard.
