FS: 04 MINI S in NE w/17K and Dinan Upgrade

2004 MINI COOPER S with less than 17,000 miles.

This car is positively mint. It looks new; smells new. It has been meticulously service and maintained with oil changes every 2,500 miles and regularly washed and waxed—babied, in other words. It’s primo—showroom condition. No excuses, period.

Chili Red—Red body, white roof and white side mirror covers. Six-speed manual transmission. Leatherette seats in black and grey, six-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system and leather steering wheel.

When I bought the car (I'm 2nd owner), it was with the understanding that my spousal unit would learn to drive a manual tranny. Long story short: Honey just can’t get her head wrapped around the whole gas pedal, clutch pedal, brake pedal thing.

I have title in hand.

This Mini Cooper S comes with some really good upgrades:

--Sport Package: Dynamic stability control, Xenon headlamps with power washers, white hood stripes, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Dunlop run-flat tires and fog lamps.

--Cold Weather Package: Heated front seats, heated mirror and heated windshield washer jets

This car is equipped with Dinan’s $1,800 S1 Sports Package, which includes a high-flow air intake system, free-flow exhaust and strut tower brace. The horsepower of the base MCS zooms from the base 164 HP to 182 HP! Dinan is the top tuner in the BMW/Mini world and is much respected for its sports car enhancing products and development work.

The Dinan S1 package also includes Stage 3 engine software, which customizes air/fuel ratios and ignition timing for optimum performance and drivability. The software also features a 300 RPM increase in the rev-limiter, allowing you to carry more speed in each gear as well as optimizing shift points.

This car does not have a sun roof .

Asking price is $18,500--far less than Kelly Blue Book or NADAGuides.

Car is located in Medway, Mass.—about 25 miles SW of Boston.

Actually, I was thinking more along on the lines that you would get in an accident.

Actually I've known both things to happen, you can never be too careful!

Well, I can't sell it at a fair price, so I'll just give it a way. Free to a good home: Nice car.

Sounds like a great MINI at a really good price. I'm sure you're just frustrated at not having more responses. But, if you would really like to give it away, feel free to send me a PM. That way my college age nephew would not have to autocross my CR/W R56 S.

Sorry there hasn't been more interest in your car. Maybe it's the time of year? A used car dealer friend of mine said I should wait until this time of year to buy one, because he finds people more interested in convertibles and other more sporty cars in the spring and summer. Might not be a pattern across the country... maybe it's just his experience. Best of luck with the sale. I'd gladly fly to the nearest airport to you and drive it home if it were really free Don't get too discouraged.
