Im selling my beloved Mini because me and my wife are in the market for a truck. (work related) My mini is a 2002 Cooper S with only 48,000 Miles on it. The mini is in EXCELLENT condition. The color is the Electric Blue and has the White Top/ Mirror Package also. Grey leather interior(seats in great shape) 6 speed manual transmission with the supercharged engine! I tinted the windows and also got some new rims and tires on it. I had a Borla Sport Exhaust installed for some added performance and an Alta Intake installed at the BMW Dealership for some performance and a better exhaust sound. Car is absolutely a blast and I am HATING having to sell it but I will be in the market for another Mini in the future.
IM asking 16,500. I am negotiable however these Mini's hold their value very well.
I spent almost a thousand for the Borla Exhaust and around 250,300 for the Alta Intake Version 2.0.
Im located on the Virginia And North Carolina State Line off Of I-95.

I also forgot to mention that the car has 20% tint on it all the way around done by a excellent shop in my local town and it does look fantastic.

These cars hold their value so well. It books for around 17.5
I spend 1,000 on the brand new Borla Exhaust and almost 300 on the Alta Version 2.0 Intake and I had tint installed on the windows. All in all the price is negotiable but this is a low mileage great mini.

well if they hold their value very well, then why are you getting rid of it then. Keep it and if what you say is true , then you should get more $$ for it in the future. ha ha ha !

 

100+ miles/day + bad knees = cruise control is a requirement. The car would have to be a lot cheaper (like less than CarMax would give you) before I'd buy it.

 

^ It'll be a while before you buy a car, if you're offering people less than CarMax would give them -- don't see a lot of sellers jumping on that one.

 

No... it means I'd be interested in a car that has the features I want for a fair price, but one that doesn't is worth a lot less to me. Comes back to "it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it" concept... I'm picky and broke, so yeah, it'll be awhile before I find a car...

 

how much is carmax offering?

 

This is an identical car to mine just with less miles and not even as close to as nice to mine. With the same options and I am offering mine at more than a grand less. Its also on "carmax".... Thanks for the input though, these cars are great cars and i know its hard to believe for some people they hold their value EXTREMELY WELL. Here is a twin on my car on carmax..

I think when people say "check the carmax estimate", what it means is what will they pay for the car, not what are they selling one for. It's more like retail vs tradein/private party. (and the carmax car you posted has close to 1/2 the miles)

book value-as in kbb? retail estimate??? that's notoriously high. have you checked edmunds.com, galves.com, or gotten a carmax offer?

 

trade in on these cars is absolutely horrible to the resale on them.
