Pictures from today's drive

We had a little snow this morning here in Denver, but about 10 minutes into the drive the roads were only damp and shortly later we had dry tarmac on the way to the springs.

Dave, you need to make your posts show that the rally is going to happen a little more obvious. I was reading the Denver Drive Ideas thread, and never really noticed that the rally was going to happen. Did I just miss something? Anyways, very nice pics, hope you had fun.

Oh, Dave, another thing that I forgot to ask is, did you take off your painted scoop?

You guys should have stopped by the World Arena. Today was the SCCA Autocross school. I was there along with mferguson. So MINI was represented. It would have been cool to have had a MINI cheering section. I look forward to seeing you all at the AutoX school on the 31st. at Coors Field.

I'm glad you like the pics.

Erin: did I miss something? Are you going to Florida on vacation, or are you moving?

I took the painted scoop off before going to California. My dark silver one is clearbra'd so that went on for the trip. I haven't had the time to put the other one back on since getting home.

Yo, Dave, it's Matt, but yeah, I am moving to Florida, to stay. Are you ever going to put the scoop back on?

Matt,

I saw you were moving to Florida. My comment was actually based on mully's post above.

I'm just jealous this northsider couldn't come due to tree clean up. Right now I'm counting my blessings nothing fell on my house. Going to need a chainsaw and a truck to haul off all of what fell, and I'm not sure one load will get it.

This drive was a ton of fun with 5 cars. Anyhow, we'll have to do another one soon.

Love seeing those pics of the Garden of the Gods, my old college playground. We used to have so much fun climbing all over the rocks.

Sadly, the park now enforces the no climbing rules and spectacular places such as the famous "hacky sack pit" are no longer accessible.

Nonetheless, great to see those pics!

It's about 60-90 minutes from here depending on where in Denver you're starting from. Nice driving. Let me know any dates you'll be in town and we'll do something.

Nice pictures Dave! Wish I could've joined you. Glad to see the weather improved for you.

We've been busy house hunting and doing home showings.

hey Dave -

which route did you guys take to the Springs? at dinner on Sunday night, my (soon-to-be) Father in Law said that he saw "a bunch" of MINIs early that day @ ~C-470 & Quincy...

also, nice pics. sorry i missed the drive but i just got my MCS back from Schomp yesterday - they had it for a week to replace the Power Steering Pump (which failed at a whopping 1300 miles!) i guess i'll just have to wait for my innaugural 5280 drive.

That wasn't us. We just took Santa Fe south to Castle Rock and hoped on I-25 because of the morning slush.

guess that means there are some Motorers out there that haven't joined 5280 yet.

also, i wanted to link to this thread from my website, and wanted to ask your permission to use one of the pictures you took in the message about the club/drive/etc.
