For those of us who have already used all our vacation this year and can't take enough time to go to MUTA, there's the Great Pumpkin Halloween Ride on Sunday, October 29!

Both you and your MINI or classic Mini should be wearing Halloween costumes. We'll meet in the morning and finish the ride at a local pumpkin patch, where you can pick last-minute pumpkins for jack o' lanterns, supply yourself with all the gourds, Indian corn, pumpkin bread, and caramel apples you may need, and visit the petting zoo and corn maze. Or just let everyone admire your and your MINI or Mini's costumes as you chat with fellow motorers.

I want to do MUTA, but I hate to miss the Great Pumpkin.

I was just on the website for the pumpkins and they say they will not be open on Sunday. Does this affect the plans?

The pumpkin fields may be closed, but the parking lot and sales area will still be open. Caramel apples galore! We drove by there this afternoon and there was quite a bit of activity, even with the fields closed.

If anyone doesn't want to do the ride but would like to meet at Rock Creek Farm, we'll probably be there a little before 10 a.m. and we'll park near the check-out booths, where they sell the caramel apples.
