Awesome photos, Dave.

I visited Denver for the first time last September. That looks like Red Rocks? Is there a big amphatheatre there where all kinds of events are held, like concerts? Very Cool!

Wedge, you pegged it. That's Red Rocks. We just parked there and hiked around to take pictures, but the amphatheatre is very nice. It's my favorite place to see a large concert at.

We also drove to Evergreen and Lookout mountain. The real disappointment of the day (for me) was how warm it was in Evergreen - nearly 70. Evergreen lake should be frozen at this time of year. Normally we should have been able to go ice skating on the lake. Instead, we had to tough it out on the deck eating burritos and fish tacos while having a beer in the warm early february weather.

Wow, and I was bored and just sitting around all day yesterday. I wish I would have known about that. I guess I'll have to join so I can find out about these things.

Keith,

Most MINI5280 events will be publicized in advance so that non MINI5280 members can join us. That said, there will be events (like yesterday's) that, because of short notice, only MINI5280 members may get notification of. Another advantage of being a member is that when we do an event where people have to pay (say for a rally, where the entrance fee helps offset the cost of prizes) members of MINI5280 will be able to enjoy a discount.

To join, see MINI5280.org

If you have any questions about the club, feel free to e-mail me dave@mini5280.org

Sweet pictures Dave, Sorry I couldn't stay for the rest of drive. How did it turn out? What time was it over?

Thanks,
Brad

Brad,

Only 6 MINIs went on from lunch over to lookout mountain. Quite a bit of fun in the small group coming down Lookout Mountain (err, the second time we came down lookout mountain.).

I'm sure other people have noticed this too - one of the things I really love about the MINI is that every single car in that lineup is different. They're only subtle differences sometimes (Like white vs. grey wheels on the 2 elec. blue S's) but every single car is effectively unique. The MINI wouldn't work any other way, either. Show me a 350z get-together with no 2 cars the same and you'll show me a get together with no more than 4 cars. Could this car be any more unique? I submit that it cannot.
