Hoping for a move

I just requested orders to Colorado Springs (either AFB). I should know within the next 2-3 months. If I am approved, I plan on being a VERY active member of MINI5280!

Welcome to Colorado, Venti!

Glad to see MINI enthusiasts coming to the area. We indeed have a huge number of MINIs and Minis out here, and events and rides are not hard to come by.

When you are in town, pls be in touch and we will GTG. We are:

Jonathan Souza, President@MINI5280.org
Rick Gonzales, Membership@MINI5280.org
Kendall Gelner, Secretary@MINI5280.org
Nick Ko, Treasurer@MINI5280.org

Thanks for the contact, pls keep an eye on our MINI5280 Calendar right here in NAM for all events.

JPS

Thanks for the warm pre-welcome! Hopefully my orders will shake out the way I want and I will be there no later than August 2006.

I run (what is left of) our local club and (assuming I get to come to Colorado) would be more than happy to help out, although it seems that sometimes the hardest thing is just getting people to show up.

Perfect

We can use some help as we expect to renew officers etc later this year. We are also looking at a large National event next year which will require a whole crew.

Thanks,

JPS

Welcome to lovely Colorado Springs. We have a fairly active group in Colorado Springs, and there is a large group in Colorado as a whole. Unfortunately you have to drive to Denver (75mi) to get service at our only Mini dealer in Colorado, but they do have Saturday service. Look us up when you arrive in town.
Happy motorting

Thanks again.

As I said, the move has not been approved yet, and it may be a year before it comes to fruition, but the process is starting.

For your national event, you mean you are planning on hosting one? Sounds great to me, as long as it is late summer/early fall!

Ciao!!

Ciao Venti due,
So you are stationed in Aviano, Italia? I was born there - how crazy!! My mom is full blooded Italian and most of her family is in Casal Di Principe just outside of Napoli. My dad just retired from the Air Force and he was stationed at Peterson. We sure hope your orders go through, being a military brat, out of all the places we've lived I'd have to say that Colorado is by far the best. Keep us posted.

Yes, I am stationed at Aviano. If you have not been here in more than two years, you wouldn't recognize the place anyway?

Were you born in Sacile? My daughter was born there this year on my birthday!

I have Peterson listed as my number 1 and Schriever as number 2. So, here's hoping!

Im a slacker

Sorry - it's been a while, I've been slacking. I was actually born in Pordenone, had to check with my mom since I don't really remember any of that (almost 25 years ago). When do you find out about your orders? We could definitely use some more active members here in the springs!!

Ciao
Bobbi

Thanks - we named ours Sophia.

My situation is actually a little bit complicated due to the fact that I am trying to get retrained into a new job. That has to come through before the orders, and they are estimating that will be sometime in August - October. After that, it is difficult to say, but no later than May.
