Window help!
Window help!
Would anyone know why a passenger side window would suddenly stop working? I checked out the fuses but they are fine and when I close the door it dosen't do it's "auto adjust" thing. Any ideas?
I remember when I got them tintes the guy talking about how he has to "lock" them so they don't do the "auto adjust" but I don't know what he did or if I did it by mistake. I looked for child window locks and didn't see one and also tried my remote thinking maybe I hit the buttons in such a way to put it in a special mode. No luck.
I have nationals this weekend and getting my window down is huge ( Helps to look out the window better and to hear tire noise). Plus I can't wash my car becuase it is slightly cracked at the top and water gets in.

I had that happen recently too
It worked and then didn't, worked and didn't. Finally when it went a few days without working, I called Schomp to set a service appt. That was this last Tuesday. However on Sunday, it started working again (evidence that it is not likely the motor) and so I cancelled my appt and did not take it in.
There is a thread here in NAM about this already. What I think I read is that you need to slam the door a few times and then it should come back - no kidding. Once it is down.....leave it down.
Thanks, good luck. Mine will probably die entirely and then I will take it in.

Eva, here is the thread
After returning from three weeks vacation, where my 03 stayed home and sat out in the rain with no use, my driver's window also would not drop. I could hear a solenoid click in the door so didn't chase fuses or wiring. Beating on the door panel didn't help but opening the door and giving a sharp rap down on the upper window edge with the flat of my hand freed it up and it has worked properly for several weeks now. Don't know if it just stuck from inactivity or if the motor is going south like so many other folks have experienced but the rap to the glass has at least produced a temporary fix. Might give it a go to get you through the races.
