I can't wait for my MINI to arrive

I just put money down on an '05 ...too bad it won't be in until October I sure wish I could've made it to the Dragon this year with you guys. Next year for sure! I look forward to becoming a 5280 member and participating in your events. I'll be lingering on the forum until then. Take care.

Welcome to the wonderful magical world of MINIs

Glad to know you have one on order. You can join MINI5280 anyway and we will keep you in touch. Just because you don't have a MINI yet does not mean you cannot belong. Our next big event is Sunday, April 24 at Ralph Schomp MINI. Come on out, if just to meet some pp. Be sure to find me when you are there. NOON. This is a Poker Run, any vehicle will do.

Thanks,

An October 2005 delivery, means that you will be getting a new 2006 MINI, not a 2005

Congrats on the order.

2005 or 2006?

I specifically asked the salesman if it would be a 2005 or 2006 when I ordered aand he said that if I ordered after 09/01 it would be a 2006, before 09/01 would be a 2005. ???

The new model year begins September 1. If you get your production number before September 1, you still may get a post-September 1 build, which would be a 2006. Nothing wrong with getting the newest model available!

What if I told you I ordered my '05 MCS Aug. 31 through a broker here in Denver who had a car shipped through a MINI distributer in Tenn. that arrived Nov. 5. That's about 9 1/2 weeks. Let me know if you what more info.

maybe

As long as the price is comparable, I'd consider it. I don't know if I can get my $500 deposit back from Ralph though.

I wish I could start attending 5280 meetings regularly but I live about 1.5 hours away ...wayyyyy up in the mountains. With my work schedule, it makes it hard.

I bought my S from Sandia MINI in Albq. - no waiting list, I had my custom-ordered car in about 6 weeks. Plus the day's drive back on 285 through the mountains was awesome!

Good weekend trip since we took my wife's Cooper down. Pics are: http://www.dirosafamily.com/gallery/album68

I can help you out

Kidicarus---I am an Auto Broker with H.M. Brown, the state's largest auto brokerage in the state of Colorado. I'm surprised Jonathan didn't mention me . I can get a new one WAY faster than Schomp. I also have access to some of the best used Mini's in the whole country. I just bought an 04 Green S for my wife. I saw it at the Highline auction we go to, bought it, and with shipping it here it hit the ground in Denver in 7 DAYS!!! Plus I just saved myself about 2-3 GRAND off of a new one.

So if you ARE interested in getting a new one, I'm competitive with Schomp, have as good or better financing than them, and can get it to you before summer arrives. I'll even HELP deliver it to you since you don't live in the front range.

Like I said on the used side, I can get one in a couple/few weeks to you and save you some bucks.

I'm not sure what Schomp's deal is with the deposit (we collect one too), but I'd make sure that I got you a strong enough deal that it wouldn't matter if you had to eat that.

Lemme know!!!
