I may be there; not for sure yet. I'm trying to get a friend to load the bike, too.

I hear there may be a few bike MRA/Track riders there that day. Just FYI...

What about snow & rain

Is it still a go if there is snow and rain? The weather looks real iffy for Friday.

What is the deal with Friday? Do you want to meet in the Springs or just meet at the gate PMSP? I will need to change tires and settings and all of that fun stuff. Let me know what everyone wants to do?

Later,
Brad

Brad, meet us at Target

Pls be sure to call the Gate guy so he is on time.

Anthony and John Angel are coming down to give you some competition.

This will be fun. A Miata, and possibly Mark Bradley's new Porsche, too. If he gets the cage in.

Thanks,

JPS

Give me your cell, I will call when we hit Monument....

Per Car or Driver?

So I can't pony up $60, but might be able to find a friend to split it with me. Is it $60 per vehicle and we could take turns driving or is that per registrant? I'm almost sure it's the later...

Of course with my wife due with our son on Tuesday I might not be allowed to travel 2 hours away!

Snow and Rain are an issue

esp if they accumulate. Anything more than a dusting will be a problem.

We cannot make a decision until the morning of. IN any case, dress warm with plenty of protection since there is none there.

Hello Golly!

The fee of $60 is per vehicle. Feel free to bring a passenger and split up driving duties. Both will need helmets tho, SNELL approved in case you need to borrow from someone, that is a good idea to get one that fits.

Thanks, meet at the gate about 9 am.

Although nobody would likely notice, and despite my earlier affirmation that I'd be there..I feel the need to announce that I will not...which really hurts because track events were my main reason for involvement

<sigh>

Yes, I won't be there this time either. Slick tracks aren't my fave.

Have fun in case it's still on

Great news on the ability to split the fee! I won't be able to make it. With the time I'll be taking off for the baby next week I just can't swing another day off for the track. I'll certainly be planning for the next one though!!

Johnathan,
I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but they say the further North you go the worse it is. On the South end of the Springs it is not snowing yet, but that could change.

If you want to please call me tonight or in the morning by 6:30 a.m. to let me know if you guys are still planning on coming down and going to Pueblo. I don't trust the forcast on the TV or radio, so if it's not wet I will still go. The cold doesn't bother me. It can't be worse than last time.

Keep me informed.

Brad

Track Day is on

Unless the snow is too deep in Denver to get out. Right now it is 34 and lightly falling, but only sticking to the grass. Not a big deal.

Pueblo forcast is 42 and intermitted light showers, no snow.

I am in and have not cancelled. Let me know your cell, or just call mine at 3-807-9483 in the AM....to confirm.

But I have no intention of backing out unless it is tres deep.

Snow

I live in Pueblo-- Bad News, it is snowing hard here at my house. I am about 10 miles west of PMI, and about 400 feet higher in elevation. I am not sure what it is like in town, but it does not look condusive of good racing.

Thanks to Bradley for the considerate call

You can watch the current Pueblo Doppler Radar LIVE at this link

http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/latest.../si.kpux.shtml

I will wait for the 6:30 am call on Friday, then post here before I leave. Feel free to call in the AM.

Our thanks to fellow MINI motorers who look out for each other...

Thanks for keeping us posted

Darksky,

Thanks for giving us a post!
I'm going to try to go ... I've switched tires and I'll probably have to go back to the all-seasons as the roads here are snow covered and it's still snowing. I've lost my primary network and the repairman is going to show up at 7:30 am. Hopefully I can get info early ...

Can we get to the gate later than 9:00am ... or is 9:00 our only choice?

Springtime in the rockies!

Jon , Brad - my cell is 719-660-1103

Thanks for the help in Pueblo. If we don't make it tomorrow we will do it again real soon.

Thanks,

3:22 am and things are fine here

near Park Meadows. Roads same as last night, no snow on them but slick in spots I am sure.

http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/D.../si.kpux.shtml

Weather radar above shows only intermittent activity NW of Pueblo, and nothing in Pueblo or to the West. 30 degrees currently so snow will really be rain, if anything.

When I hear from Bradley I will post. As for leaving from Denver at this time it is no problem.

At myhouse - ice & snow

At 6800 ft, we have ice and snow on the road. Traffic is moving slowly on the main road.

I would need to get my all season tires on the car to get to the highway.

Looks like Pueblo might have had more snow. Hard to tell with KOAA's cam in Pueblo though.

Most of the roads are wet through the Springs. Pueblo was reporting slushy wet roads.

Track Day Has Just Been Cancelled

MINI member, friend and supporter Brad Morton in Pueblo just called. Conditions are snowy west of Pueblo, no snow on the ground IN Pueblo, but 30 degrees, very overcast, 100% humidity and slick.

Not a good day for asphalt racing.

For safety reasons alone, and not what my heart tells me to do, this session is CANCELLED.

Please be sure to join us on Friday, April 8th for yet another TRACK DAY at 2nd Creek Raceway near DIA. Watch this Forum for details.

My apology. This however, is the SMART thing to do.

Jonathan

Good call Jonathan

It's a bummer ... but safety first! Things are just crummy outside.

I just got in to my station (fire). It is 31 and raining, last night's snow did not stick very well to the roads in town, but west of town we have 2.5 inches. It is completely overcast with weather moving in from the west. Not a good day for racing. Better safe than watching someone go into the ditch.
