I'm so confused!
I've payed my dues for the club even though I haven't received the Mini yet so this is my first post directed at my local Mini crowd.
Ok all you experts. Set me straight. Just do a search of for 2014 Mini's and all kinds of things show up about the next one. Spy shots and all. What's very confusing is that apparently the 2014 is gonna be release for public drooling in November???
So, what I'm wondering is what's being sold now by dealership as the '14 Mini? Do the models change mid year? I've got a '14 Cooper S Convertible on order and it's seems just like the '13 more or less. Gonna be a 2014.5 version? OR is all that's being hyped up gonna be the 2015?
Giddy-up!

Well it depends.....
Nice MINI is you signature, you will love it.
You pose a good question, the MINI you ordered is a 2014 since the model year changes with the August Euro factory shutdown and Euro vacation schedule.
But not all MINI models are affected, this adds to the confusion.
Your bought or ordered a 2014 RXX type MINI, as the years go by very subtle refreshes are done to the MINIs (interior or exterior or both).
Now with the F series MINIs which are to be revealed at the shows this fall and winter will be 2014 MINIs too, until August 2014 when they become 2015 models, probably no major changes at that time, since the subtle changes occur at odd time within the MINI product cycle.
Now all the above is my attempt at clarity, I could be all wrong, if fact I usually don't get all the fact correct.
MINI (aka BMW) likes to change all of this so you have to be flexible, I chose to ignore it and enjoy my MINIs.

When the 1st gen MINIs went from SuperCharged to Turbo, MINI did the same thing, but it was years for the Convertible to catchup. Hardtop Turbo first year was 2007, Convertible Turbo first year was 2009.

YIPEE! Welcome to the club...we should have the neighborhood street up to your house lined with MINIs when you drive your MINI home!

Cont........
That would be way TOOOOO cool. What an awesome photo opportunity and a serious way to welcome JULIUS home.
I think ours is gonna be a girl How else can I comfortably say, "She want to be driven...and driven she shall be".
HE just doesn't sound the same...to me anyway. Vik may think the opposite.

And continued again.....
Oh, and depending on the day of delivery, maybe I'll set up a BBQ at the hooch for all to partake. Meet the folks, drool over the babes, and talk Mini!! I'll open up the garage for anyone that wants to tinker on the lift, have a beer and a burger.
We need to get Blue fixed!!

Mike, let us know if and when you want to do this BBQ. The more gear headed people in the club are always up for looking at a new garage, and helping other members out. :D

- LED side lights w/orange scuttle inserts
