Small delay. Sounds like the weather and roads slowed things a bit. I was told a few minutes ago that it should be here between 10:00 and 11:00.

I think it's one of the best looking MINIs I've ever seen. It leaves the Coupe in the dust as far as I'm concerned, and it even looks better with the top down than the R57.

I didn't take the opportunity to sit in it, though I should have. I do love the manual top! Overall, I loved it. Really, really loved it.

Crap - now I am thinking that I will really really want one when in reality I need to replace my 97 4Runner

I sat in the one our dealership had. If you're really tall you'll have an issue with it as the top of the windshield was at my forehead (I'm 6' tall). But with the top up there was plenty of head room. I loveeee it.

Well my test fit was just fine! I am only 5' 9", so being over the windshield was not a problem.

I did notice that a very tall person could fit with the seat all the way back, I think I was about half way on the seat rails and my comfort was great.

I suspect you could be 6'5' or better and get lots of leg room, felt spacious. Of note, the manual top appeared to be easy, but needed some strong hands and forearm strength to pull down and twist the latching device.

Should not be a problem after a little adjustment or wear takes the stiffness out of the latch.

I have an open album with many pictures of the Schomp roll-out in my Picasa public area. See link below.

Ordered mine. Now the hardest part...
I was thinking of selling Matilda or just trading her in - advantages for both. Schomp offerred $10K with no taxes could get more but hassle and taxes. I've got about 2 months to decide.

How about from the lot at Schomps?

I'll pick it up Thursday after they get the JCW Stage 2 kit installed.

It is kind of hard to tell from that angle but is that a black Cooper S Roadster?

What is the JCW stage 2 kit?

Do you mean the JCW Tune and the Aero Kit?

Looks like you'll be having fun driving this thing soon!

I have a JCW Roadster on order with Schomp. It is on the boat but won't make it to Schomp until about mid-April. Just in time for taxes!

You are going to really have a problem getting those girls to give you the keys. :-)

Enjoy, looking forward to seeing it in person.

I see you are signed up for the Auto Show, I can't wait to see it too. Are you bringing the models with you?
