Hi, Don here... I need an question answered and/or opinion.

We are in the Winter Months, past years we have had a club meeting on Tuesday nights, usually a meet and eat.

What do you want for 2012?

Tuesday night meet and eat?

Saturday afternoon 1:30ish --- eat and short drive?

My plan is to vary the location and if we do Saturday, vary the short drives, possibly ending at a destination or a place to say adios/good-bye/good-night.

I'm scared of the dark, so I like Saturdays. Meet and eat/drive is good.

I agree on the Saturday meet ups too. Tuesday nights I'm just getting off work and Volly and I are missing being home. Saturdays are days for adventure and getting together with other MINIs.

 

Yes, Saturdays are easier to make for events like such.
Varying the locations / drives is a great idea!

+1 on Saturdays.... I missed meetings last year 'cause work was exhausting and I didn't have the energy to drive in the dark (esp in snow) after those days... Guess that's pathetic, but there it is....

 

Saturday mornings ride then grub is my vote.

 

Yep, Saturday's work with us as well. Weren't we talking about having one at PES to check out Chris's shop at one point?

The Peak Eurosport event is posted on MINI5280s Facebook page and it will be in the January newsletter.

The PES event was posted on the MINI5280 page on FB, I highly endorse it too. I will post it on our Calendar, please sign up over at the PES website so Chris knows who will be coming out on Sunday the 22nd. Event starts at 11AM.

OK, back on track. Getting a lot of needed input from everyone on preferences for our club meetings.

At this time it looks like a Saturday meeting for us. They will take two forms over the months to come as weather allows, Meeting with Food/Coffee and Meeting with Coffee/Food and short drive.

I am thinking meetings will only last 30 minutes to an hour max, drives will vary depending on route.

I will start a January meeting thread later today. Need to get a place set, etc.......

FWIW..I vote Saturday's as well. Glad to see everyone was picking up on my telepathic powers..

Also, regarding PES, (I was there quite a bit last summer) the setup is good (not huge) the location is tucked away just south of I-70 in an industrial/office park so if anyone wants to get together for drinks, etc. a little restaurant recon may be in order. Barring any weather challenges, probably see you guys on the 22nd, cheers..
