I've just joined this group and have never been to a MINI5280 club meeting. What do the meetings consist of and is there anything more I should know about the group? Thank you!

So basically, it's a $27 fee for the year? I'm guessing I better do that before showing up at a meeting? I'm wondering if I'd be too late to make the one tomorrow. I don't want to be the odd person who just showed up out of nowhere!

 

You can still come to the meeting tomorrow & you won't be that odd person

Oh, really? Where are you riding to and who's going? I'd probably be down for that! Haven't done one of those yet either! Yay!

Also, I'll try to make the meeting tomorrow! Just gotta zoom over after work.

Ride Saturday is the Tax-Recovery Ride, should be fun up through Evergreen and 103 (Western Dragon) then over to Idaho Springs.

I suspect folks will get a some pizza in IS.

A few folks will continue on, some will go home, some will go wash their MINIs.

Btw, you do not have to be a paid member to check out the club, just come on by.

I just checked out the Saturday ride and it looks like a fun time through some very picturesque country! I will try to make that for sure!

Also I just "officially" joined the club and forked over the $27! Ahh! But seriously, being the MINI Cooper freak that I am, it was only a matter of time anyways. Glad to be a part of something awesome!

You didn't think I was going to miss a meeting that is right down the road from my house did ya? Unfortunately still no MINI, well atleast one that works anyhow.

 

Good meeting, ok food, need to find a place a little bit less noisy.

It worked out in the end after the initial seating confusion. The manager rolled with it, so good one on him.

Nice seeing everyone, some new folks and new MINIs.

Met Ms. Dittin, nice to see Dave and David (Mexico Dave) and everyone else.

Well I didn't RSVP like I should've, because I knew I couldn't be there at 7p. I swung by to maybe meet a few of you finally, but damn that place was packed! Saw the MINIs, but would've never found you all in that place.

Maybe I can make the next meeting to put a few faces to names. I'm kinda a lone wolf, but I'm trying to be better (translated as introvert).

 

I actually think that the informal parking lot meeting was nicer than it was inside. Dont get me wrong it is always great seeing everybody, but I'm with Don it was a little loud inside with the croud. The last of us just stood out talking shop, and enjoying the cars until around 9:00. We actually got to know one of our newest members, and I hope she sticks around for a long time.
Sorry I have to miss the next couple gatherings but I will see you all at the May meeting, cant wait.

 

It was great meeting more new people and seeing everyone last night. I counted but already forgot but I think there was about 18 people present. Sorry we missed you 10Zero!

So for the next meetings, would most everyone agree on more "lot meetings" vs "restaurant meetings" and either grab food after the meeting or bring our own food to munch on during the meeting?

It was nice meeting all of you guys and I'm really looking forward to the ride on Saturday! I'm going to take tons of pictures!

I agree that the restaurant was really noisy. I felt like I had to shout to be heard a few times. Talking outside at the cars was a lot better as far as noise went and I think that a "lot meeting" would be nice to try.

 

i'd never been to that location before, so perhaps some exp w/ it would've been better, but, now we know for that place at least..

the next meeting is the other side of town entirely, another restaurant, but MUCH quieter, i've been there before, come hungry tho!!!

 

That the place you where talking about off of I-25 and ARAPAHOE? I cant wait, just need to get the car running again, or I will need to take the SUZUKI.
