Boost and temp gauges on the R56

Has anyone wired up the external boost and temp gauge (either or) on the R56. I am going to do it next week (when I can stand w/o crutches) and not very comfortable with tapping it into the electrical system. I can get everything else done by myself so I am looking for some possible help with hooking up the power.

Thanks.

The only person I think of on the R56 is Tom, not sure of his board name. He has a 4 pod setup, so not sure what gauges he has installed.

He won top R56 in the MITM5 car show on Friday.

Post up your pictures and detail the pickup points for power and boost.

It would make a nice tutorial for us waiting in the wings.

Sure thing.

The only part that looks to be a total PITA is removing the center console to get to the correct wiring. Everything else is cake

I'd be interested on sitting in on this as I will be adding Marshall gauges with Craven speed pods to my R55 sometime around the winter break.

An Aeroforce Interceptor will display both boost and temperature. Lots of other functions as well.

http://www.aeroforcetech.com/products_interceptor.html

They aren't listed for Mini's on their website but send them an email and tell them I recommended their product. They may offer you one at a discount. I use one in my Mini. Works great!

It plugs into the OBDII port and needs a switched 12v source (not all cars need the switched power source but with the Mini you do). That's not too hard to do. You can use an add-a-circuit on the fuse block or tie into the cig. lighter wiring.
