I met with Christina Dawkins today.What a pleasant lady & pleasant conversation!!

 

I have had more conversations with the owners and managers at MINI Loveland than I have had with the place I originally purchased my MINIs... goes to show you the difference a few miles north can make!

My wife and I will be convoy'ing... (convoy of a Cooper S and Clubman S, lol) from the 10th SF Group Compound around 5:30 am on Wednesday if anyone cares to join us. Hopefully, and I will believe it when I see it, a few Fort Carson MINIs will be tagging along.

Gang I will be at work in Louisville early on Wednesday morning but heading north on i25 around 8:10. I would be in for a convoy if anyone is interested. Send me a PM and we can exchange numbers. Also for all of you I will be posting video and pic to my YouTube and Flickr accounts during the ground breaking.

i'll be there, but 8am is soooo early, give me a few mins buffer before u take off

 

If I get rolling on time, I will be at 120th/I25 just a bit before 8.

I am not too familiar with Denvurr, especially the I-25 and 120 area... so, gonna send a few PM's with contact info so if we are close to the area around 8, we can sync up.

On a side note, just got the Cooper S detailed, right before the silly Colorado Spring evening rains... whew! Bringing the detail gear if you guys need it to freshen up your Coop before the pictures commence.

I'm going to try and get there by 10. Starting the exhaust at 8 am, shouldn't be more than 30-45 minutes on the rack.

I will be hanging at the top of the on-ramp at i25 and 168th. Just past e470 Toll Road. Will hop on when I see the group.

Thanks everyone for coming out this morning. It was great to meet everyone. Pretty bummed that my fellow Club Brother John John got tagged by a re-tread tire just a mile from the exit to the groundbreaking. But it looks like he is going to use it as a positive and do more upgrades!

What a great event, had a blast! My wife is new to the "MINI community" so it was nice to receive such a warm welcome from not only the owner and GM of MINI of Loveland, but our members here too! Thanks a bunch! Glad we were able to catch the tail end of the Denver convoy just as you all were leaving... whew!

So, I just got home from Safelite Auto Glass... as luck would have it, my wife's clubman threw up a rock on the convoy up from Denver, and my windshield got a quarter sized crack in it. So, on the drive back from Loveland to Colorado Springs, I called All State and they set up an immediate appointment for me. Stinks that I got a rock chip, but glad I was able to take care of it so quickly.

On a side note, check out the pics below, especially the one taken of my tach and the amazing milage I got after filling up in Loveland and driving back to the Springs! (Roughly 120 miles averaging 74 mph)

It was a nice gathering, fun to meet at 8AM at the Rad.

A little busy on the highway, but tolerable and a good group lead by Russ.

Mike, Sarah, nice talking with you. I did not get to meet all the new folks, but next time.

How was the drive after? Pictures, folks, pictures. I had a nice visit with my old friends from Omaha. But I do like the road behind Masonville.
