Large Multi Club Monthly GTG - June 27th - 11am

I know this is a busy weekend coming up with many great events, but if you are up for this, it should be a great time with an amazing drive after! Sorry it did not get here sooner. I was slacking.

The sixth large Denver GTG of 2009 will be on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 @ 11:00am.

Tipsy's Liquor World
5869 S Alkire St.
Littleton, CO 80127

* Thanks to Tipsy's & Chris@Peak Eurosport for the open location

Directions:
- C-470 to Bowles Ave.
- Bowles Ave. east to Alkire Street
- Alkire street north to Tipsy's (west side of Alkire, north of Circle K gas station)

Park central of the lot... There will be a ton of space available, we should not have a problem at all.

Tentative Schedule:
* meet up @ 11:00am
* converse / eat lunch (individual efforts; nothing is reserved) till 1:00pm
* hold drivers meeting for drive @ 1:10pm
* leave for drive @ ~1:20pm - 1:30pm

PLEASE NOTE: drive will be determined on location pending previous weather, consensus of drivers, and attendance!

PLEASE come with a positive attitude; many are meeting each other for the first time.
We don't anyone to crash the fun in the first part of the year... that's never good!

NOTE There will be no reservations set; this will be a "free-for-all" event.

NOTE: Also, there will be a few OBDII VAG-COMs and other scanners being brought if you need a scan. Just ask and we'd be glad to help fellow owners out.

Questions, concerns, comments? Feel free to IM me!
People usually arrive and meet and greet; enjoying the weather and good company.
Please post if your going; I'll do my best to keep track and update a list as it formulates.

[Public Service Annoucement]

PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS; Thanks!

* I want to be very crystal clear on this: Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT burnout, speed, or create careless driving acts in your vehicles while in area.
To avoid getting the boot please ABSOLUTELY NO burnouts, speeding, or careless acts in our vehicles; clear?

WARNING: If you do something STUPID in your vehicle on the premises of the area, I WILL have NO problem grabbing your license plate, VIN, your name, any and all personal physical and vehicle description and any other valid info and give it to the authorities so that you are properly processed for fines / tickets / etc.

I can't speak for everybody, but I've met lots of great people and car enthusiasts at these events.

Actually no. Over the past year, we have had zero issues with any members of any European club arrive. As a matter of fact, the individuals that do show up are quite the opposite of the stereotype that you are attempting to place on the crowd. I would never post these events and attach my company's name to these events if they were anything like that. The public service announcment comes from a few past events where outside clubs (non-european cars) have decided to show up and flex their muscles. Their actions were quickly reported to authorities and everyone went on having a good time. I invite you to join us next month ( I will post up sooner) to see for yourself that this is not a "Fast and Furious" crowd, but more a group of enthusiasts getting together to hang out and talk cars, photography, and have a good time.

Oh...now I understand. You weren't being strict with your own members...just letting the non-European club members understand the proper behavior at your gatherings. Sorry to hear you've had a couple incidents in the past....I guess every club does at some point.
