Apologies all, for I have been remiss in my duties. At least a little anyhow.
I’ve been talking about this Italian place for weeks and haven't actually gotten any information up. I have to admit that part of my issue is that I forgot the restaurant's name. Now with a little internet research my memory is working again and I can fill you all in on the details.
I spoke with the restaurant today and they said they can accommodate a dozen people easily, but I'm going to need to give them a count probably no later than Thursday morning. So if you can join us, please let me know and we'll plan on you being there.
The restaurant is called Bootlegger Bistro and the city search page will give you more information including a MAP to the location.
The address and phone number are:
7700 Las Vegas Blvd S
Las Vegas, NV 89123
(702) 736-4939
It's located on S. Las Vegas Blvd, on the East side. I'd guess it to be about a mile or mile and a half south of "The Strip" proper, and the last major hotel Mandolay Bay.
So, for anyone that plans to be there please let me know via email, PM or cell phone (if you've got it). I'll keep a tally and make the proper arrangements with the restaurant. I'm thinking food at 6:30pm on Thursday the 27th , which should give everyone a chance to get into town, settled, relaxed and time to find the restaurant. It runs over a portion of AMVIV's "motor in" event, but there will be plenty of time after dinner to go if you so choose.
Speaking from our last trip I can say that this is the best Italian food I've ever had in Vegas and that even if you decide not to join us, you should make time to visit. That applies to anyone in the world, not just people I know and folks I've motored with. We all had pasta that was to die for and about a million of their garlic bread knots or whatever they were. We didn't try pizza or calzones, so I'm not sure how they are. There's only one poor review that I can find and its four years old, so I can discount that as old business; besides, I seem to recall that it had been rebuilt sometime in recent history. So it's pretty new. I'm going to tell you now that it's not the cheapest restaurant in the world, nor is it the most expensive. City search says that it's in the $$ range ($21-$30), though according to the restaurant their dinner menu is priced from $10.99 to $20.99. Considering that most dinner buffets cost between $8 and $38, I can't complain much. We all walked away stuffed, so the portions are nothing to complain over.
Yah. Anyhow, back to work (if I can manage) for another few hours and a day. Then it's off to Vegas.
Join us for dinner won't you?

Oh... and I realize now that I wasn't as specific as I could have been. The dinner is for THURSDAY night, after the entire Denver crew arrives. I guess I forgot to mention it in the recent post, but we've been talking Thursday since it was initially proposed. Hopefully we'll see you THURSDAY instead, for chow. Sorry for the confusion, I'll go fix that to be more clear. Sorry Xiek.

I'm trying to book a show that starts after 9 PM:
Just a few options to consider:
O by Cirque Du Soleil @ Bellagio
Zumanity by Cirque Du Soleil @ New York New York
Jubilee @ Bally's
Crazy Girls @ RIVIERA
My flight gets in around 7:30 PM on Wednesday night.
I'm going to decide on a show sometime today.

East Moline Glass, in East Moline, IL. Conveniently located at 1333 13th St.
Walked in, they just happened to have a piece of OEM glass available... first they said tomorrow at 2pm.. then I gave them my travel story.. "I am from Canada, on my way to Vegas, have to be in Omaha for dinner, today would be just super" she made a call, pulled a guy off a job site.. and I drove out 3 hrs later...
Jsouz, it was nice having Dinner with you... and great to meet you and your son.
we love Shelley.. she's my new Vegas HAG...

Wow, thats some great service, and glad the damage wasn't any worse! We had similar damage from a big tire snake thrown up in the air and onto the hood and windshield of one of our MCS' making the trip from Phoenix. It was still driveable and is in for replacement here in Vegas, everyone safe and sound!
