Your car is clean

and shiny. Even washed the brake dust off the wheels. No vacuum tho.

Call Darcy's cell....she will be working Tuesday...and let her know when you want the ride. Ron mailed a box that should also arrive Tuesday...pls do not forget that.

Thanks,

JPS

Apologies all, for I have been remiss in my duties. At least a little anyhow.

I’ve been talking about this Italian place for weeks and haven't actually gotten any information up. I have to admit that part of my issue is that I forgot the restaurant's name. Now with a little internet research my memory is working again and I can fill you all in on the details.

I spoke with the restaurant today and they said they can accommodate a dozen people easily, but I'm going to need to give them a count probably no later than Thursday morning. So if you can join us, please let me know and we'll plan on you being there.

The restaurant is called Bootlegger Bistro and the city search page will give you more information including a MAP to the location.

The address and phone number are:

7700 Las Vegas Blvd S
Las Vegas, NV 89123
(702) 736-4939

It's located on S. Las Vegas Blvd, on the East side. I'd guess it to be about a mile or mile and a half south of "The Strip" proper, and the last major hotel Mandolay Bay.

So, for anyone that plans to be there please let me know via email, PM or cell phone (if you've got it). I'll keep a tally and make the proper arrangements with the restaurant. I'm thinking food at 6:30pm on Thursday the 27th , which should give everyone a chance to get into town, settled, relaxed and time to find the restaurant. It runs over a portion of AMVIV's "motor in" event, but there will be plenty of time after dinner to go if you so choose.

Speaking from our last trip I can say that this is the best Italian food I've ever had in Vegas and that even if you decide not to join us, you should make time to visit. That applies to anyone in the world, not just people I know and folks I've motored with. We all had pasta that was to die for and about a million of their garlic bread knots or whatever they were. We didn't try pizza or calzones, so I'm not sure how they are. There's only one poor review that I can find and its four years old, so I can discount that as old business; besides, I seem to recall that it had been rebuilt sometime in recent history. So it's pretty new. I'm going to tell you now that it's not the cheapest restaurant in the world, nor is it the most expensive. City search says that it's in the $$ range ($21-$30), though according to the restaurant their dinner menu is priced from $10.99 to $20.99. Considering that most dinner buffets cost between $8 and $38, I can't complain much. We all walked away stuffed, so the portions are nothing to complain over.

Yah. Anyhow, back to work (if I can manage) for another few hours and a day. Then it's off to Vegas.

Join us for dinner won't you?

Yup, we're in for two. My stripes are supposed to be installed at 4:00 PM on Thursday so there shouldn't be any reason we can't get there.
I'll PM you with my cell just in case you don't have it.

Blech, that doesn't sound good. Safe travels and we'll see you on Wednesday morning!

Oh... and I realize now that I wasn't as specific as I could have been. The dinner is for THURSDAY night, after the entire Denver crew arrives. I guess I forgot to mention it in the recent post, but we've been talking Thursday since it was initially proposed. Hopefully we'll see you THURSDAY instead, for chow. Sorry for the confusion, I'll go fix that to be more clear. Sorry Xiek.

I'm trying to book a show that starts after 9 PM:

Just a few options to consider:
O by Cirque Du Soleil @ Bellagio
Zumanity by Cirque Du Soleil @ New York New York
Jubilee @ Bally's
Crazy Girls @ RIVIERA

My flight gets in around 7:30 PM on Wednesday night.

I'm going to decide on a show sometime today.

I'm not sure. For us last year, everyone just wanted to relax and hang out. We got checked into our rooms and then spent some time at the Palace Station pub. We're not planning anything big yet, though we're certainly open to suggestions. It's something we can discuss tomorrow if nothing else.

I've only seen one of those shows, and can only give it mixed reviews. Zumanity was an ok show, but for the money my group decided that it wasn't worth it. The best act was probably the acrobatic girls in a giant water filled glass bowl; the worst, some male intrepretive dance/cage match thing (I don't know what else to call it). Overall I can only describe the show as S&M meets the Circus; as was immediately evident by the 6' tall vinyl clad MC, the "Mistress of Seduction" I belive he's called. We know some people that really enjoyed the show, but the four people in my group overall did not. We found ourselves wishing that we'd gone to see Ka with the money instead.

We've got tickets to Ka on Thursday night.

O would be good to see... ya Zumanity is a very Sexual show... we had a snippet at the banquet when I was in Whistler on vacation in February... that act was pretty HOT....

We made Green River about 7:15, fun drive over. No weather!

Comfort Inn is clean and nice, Rick scored a great place for dinner. Ray's Tavern! A local bar, food is very good.

See my picasa for pictures.

Shelley's group made it too

with both Canucks intact. Had BBQ for dinner, there are hundreds of MINIs here already. Weird, since normally that happens Thursday. Talked to a few vendors who will join us at MITM3.

Ron Watt has his car back.

East Moline Glass, in East Moline, IL. Conveniently located at 1333 13th St.

Walked in, they just happened to have a piece of OEM glass available... first they said tomorrow at 2pm.. then I gave them my travel story.. "I am from Canada, on my way to Vegas, have to be in Omaha for dinner, today would be just super" she made a call, pulled a guy off a job site.. and I drove out 3 hrs later...

Jsouz, it was nice having Dinner with you... and great to meet you and your son.

we love Shelley.. she's my new Vegas HAG...

Wow, thats some great service, and glad the damage wasn't any worse! We had similar damage from a big tire snake thrown up in the air and onto the hood and windshield of one of our MCS' making the trip from Phoenix. It was still driveable and is in for replacement here in Vegas, everyone safe and sound!
