If you want a new logo carbon fiber shift ****, you are going to have to get an R56 ****. Mini switched to new logo design for 2007-2008 year - after production was over for gen1. It is doable but you will have to get or make an adapter to fit a gen1. They are a little different between gen1 and gen2.

 

I have a 2nd gen R56 JCW

 

Sorry mate. Thought was for gen1 for some reason. Check Ebay. That's where I recently found mine. Have seen several new logo shift ***** for sale over the last few months when searching.
