I have a 2005 mini cooper s will this work with my vehicle? if so is it still available? Can I use the garage links? My current one does not have that feature. I am interested.

 

Yes it works on 05-06 mini cooper s. It is still available. It worked on my garage for open and close.

I have a "standard" mirror in my R52. Does this mirror require a power source?? I am not sure if three is a connection up above or not...

 

It doesn’t require anything. It is just plug and play.

All of R52 05-08 models already have connection with rear view mirror. If it's disconnected or there is no connection then you are not able to use remote control key.
You can double check if you'd like. it's really simple process to check if there is connection.
