R53 JCW Front pipe(18207545127),

Category: Exterior
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R52, R53
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

I am looking for the front half of the JCW exhaust (18207545127), the piece that bolts to the down pipe after the cat. Resonated or not.

I have the back half, just can't seam to find a shop to fab up the first half

Even the first half of a stock R53 exhaust will work

Isn't it just a mostly straight pipe? I can't believe a shop won't fab that up. I had the resonated mid pipe taken out of my JCW exhaust and a new stainless section of pipe welded in with a new flange for $100 at a local shop.

I have a complete stock R53 system I just removed. I'm in SoCal (92562), not sure what are you are in?

You would think a flange, gasket and piece of pipe would be doable, but that was to custom.

Core attitude - I only need the front 5ft-ish, If you willing to cut it up, I will be interested. I am in 13210.

I don't think shipping my cut piece of exhaust to Syracuse will be cost effective. I also plan on keeping all my stock parts.

There HAS to be a shop near you that will do this, Syracuse is not that small. Skip the chains and go to a privately owned place and I think you'll have more luck.

DEREK86 - I totally agree with you, any shop should be able to do this. The first shop does not install customer supplied part, so if I jerry-rigged the JCW muffler section, they would be willing do do something starting at around $300. For that price I can by the part in the picture you posted.

I am trying a couple of more shops tonight, hopefully with more success

The reason you may be having trouble finding it is that on the JCW, it is one piece from headers to the rear (for my r52 anyway it is). I believe on the S model it is two piece and clamped in the middle.

Sorry, got home late today....I can try to price out shipping but I would only be guessing on weight. It really does seem ridicules that there isn’t a shop out there that will do it , and for a decent price. I love in a fairly small area and have always had good luck with the shops that cater to the off road / 4x4 crowd. Not sure if you have anything like that in your area but they seem to be a pretty flexible group when it comes to “custom” or fab work.

Did you go without the resonator? I just cut out the resonator on mine and it sounds way better! Almost the same with the windows up.. Windows down it snap-crackles like crazy and is just under my threshold for tastefully sporty exhausts. Great mod!

I ended up with the front piece of a stock R53, so yeah, no resonator. I just added the rear JCW section. The car sounds way better than the cans it had on before. I think the previous owner wanted to be loud?

You still have the R53 exhaust system? I'm looking for the header to pipe section.

Thanks
