Application: MINI Cooper Gen 2 (R55, R56, R57)

Great for people who want the extra storage or somewhere to place their arm while shifting or driving. Armrest when installed contains siding top section and tilts 90 degrees upward. Can be also used for integration of additional full Bluetooth kit / snap in adapter.

Main parts include armrest section, structural section, sliding lid, and base support / mount.

Armrest base mounts to rear of the center console and does not block the rear cup holder completely.

This install kit is for MINIs that did not have the factory armrest option.

Mine got the OE armrest with black metal frame at the base. Is this any better than the one I got? I know it looks much better, but what about functionality?

 

This kit will get you the armrest just like if you ordered the MINI from the factory with an armrest.

I had a dealer installed armrest, the OE armrest with the black metal frame, installed but the lid latch broke after a few months use.

So i bought this kit, but never installed as I preferred no armrest after starting to autocross my MINI.

I can't speak to the functionality as this listing was never installed.

I see that R58s and R59s aren't listed for this. I have a 2013 R59 without the arm rest. Any chance this would fit? I may also be within driving distance as I am from St. Louis (63129). Thanks
