What's the difference?

 

wish i knew bud.

mine has the smaller inner cone; the other one from the 05 mini has a different part number and larger inner cone and does not want to work on my sound system (i can hear something, but its not thumping like even the broken original one does)

part numbers as follows:
mine from an 06: 6513 6801096-04
from the 05: 6513 6801096-03

the other difference is the sticker. mine looks different by quite a bit; its a faded orange, and the mini logo is off to the left, and little, and all black. all other numbers are the same on the stickers, plugs are the same too.

damn thing just doesnt activate properly for whatever reason... maybe / obviously they changed something from 05 to 06 :(

 

also, if someone knows where to get one of the ones i need (-04) that would be great. mini orlando has one but for a whopping 120 bucks :/

 

Do you happen to know what the impedance is for the HK speakers? I've been toying with upgrading and I love the sound of the HK setup but want to use my own 8ch JL amp.

 

H/K speakers are 2ohm - which is why it's so flackin' difficult to upgrade the H/K system.

OP, astroblack: I have a pair of H/K 5.25" (door "woofers") that I'll sell you for $100 plus shipping, and I'll throw in the tweeters for free. thank,, but those look just like the ones that i am trying to sell that dont work. the inner cone is too big.

i purchased a new speaker for a nearly outrageous 90 bucks. it looks just like my old one, have not installed yet due to a slight medical mishap that ha restricted use of my right hand.

i did measure both speakers that I am selling, and both are in fact 2 ohm speakers, so they should work for someone else.
