Unfortunately i need to sell my 02 r53 because I do not have the means to pay for a new transmission. Last week the trans decided to go, and as a broke college student I do not have the income to take care of it so I'm going to sell it.

Car is currently located in Northern Virginia.

Car is being sold as a whole, I am not going to part it out.

A little bit about the car: I'm the 3rd owner of this '02 MCS and it is an absolute machine. A lot has been done to it, and both the engine and the chassis have less than 70k on it.

What its got:
-Xenon headlights
-Leather Seats
-Sunroof
-Heated seats
-Comes with original S-Lite wheels and a set of new rota rb's that i just had powdercoated black. The rotas also have a new set of Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric tires on them, less than 500 miles on them :(.
-Car has the JCW aero kit from the factory, matches body color
-Drilled and slotted rotors
-Carbon fiber mirror caps
-Detroit Tuned BPV
-Alta adjustable sway bar
-Alta cold air intake
-Alta 15% pulley
-Alta cat back exhaust, stealth black

-Rear brake calipers are only a few years old
-Rear seat delete, comes with the rear seat if you want it
-Aftermarket speakers and a 6inch bazooka sub

-Prosport boost gauge that matches other gauges
-Control arm bushings were done less than 10k miles ago
-Have original suspension
-Bentley maintenance manual included
-Comes with a brake bleeder kit
-Car just had the head gasket replaced and a lot of minor things that I had -done up in Alexandria by mini, and I can show documentation to prove it
-Has an aftermarket stereo with an aux input


-This car is pushing a little bit north of 200hp following the ecu remap and methanol injection kit

The only thing that it needs is a new trans, other than that this car is absolutely cherry. Please no low ballers, there is a lot of money in this car alone and it is worth every penny. I'm looking in the neighborhood of 7000 but am open to offer

I'll take it! Doesn't the law say you have to sell it for the advertised price? What are you really asking for it? Is it auto or standard Trans?

 

The reason I didn't attach a price is because I do not know what the car is worth in its current state, I'm not going to throw out a number like 2 grand and end up getting screwed. As for the car it is a standard transmission. As for price, 7000 obo

 

An 02 wouldn't fetch that with a good trans...

 

bavmotors I'm just throwing out a ballpark number to start things off since you were complaining that I didnt post a price, and now that I put up a number you bash me saying that it is too high? C'mon man..

 

Just trying to help, if you post a price that's too far off, you will scare off any potential buyers.

Which is why I put it up for $1, so I could see what people thought about it and maybe stir up an offer or two so I could get a feel for what the car might sell for, and if there isn't much of a market for the vehicle then I will hold on to it until i can work enough to pay for the trans. This car is my pride and joy and it sucks enough having to post it for sale. gotta try and make ends meet some how.

He is right. You'll be very hard pressed to get $7k with a good trans for an 02.
I see that you've spent a lot on aftermarket parts, but that means more to you than the masses. There are used trannys out there or some in junk yards. If you want near $7K save a get the car running.

For that price a tranny swap would make it a decent price. Glws lots of good mods and maintenance done.
