I possibly know the reason why it did not fit the previous buyers car and have a solution for it. The armrest that I ordered (exact model being sold here) did not fit my 2005 R53 neither until I did a bit of modification.

 

Thanks actulsiz, I guess he has an additional component in there that's preventing him from installing it.

You can have my center console if you pay for the shipping. I don't know what's preventing it from being installed. I was willing to talk him thru the process via the phone but he never replied. Anyways, BUMP for a great armrest center console! Mrheeee, whoever buys the armrest, send them my way and I'll be more than willing to assist them with the modification if needed.
