Smile Alta Accessport PRICE DROP!

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $200
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R55, R56, R57, R58, R59
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

I have a used Alta Accessport. I work at a dealership and we took it out of a car that was going to auction. As far as I know it is still married and can be sent back to Cobb for a reflash for a few hundred bucks.

I want this gone. I need to buy brake pads for an upcoming track day, I have lowered the price to cover the cost of the pads. Price is firm.
SOLD

Cobb charges $400 plus shipping both ways for it to be cleared and reset, a lot of work for $200

It seems the going market rate for these is $600-$650

With what I am asking for it and what Cobb Charges that puts it in line with market value.

Were you speaking based on fact or personal opinion?

What coding of PCMs would need to be done by Alta? All the maps they made are available via the AP Manager.

Alta stated that if the particular AP needed a certain PCM adapted to it, after 7/13 they would be charging $50 to do it. Or if it was the original owner(this is not obviously)

By my knowledge they stopped development of "box" tunes that can be downloaded, but you can still pay for support and "custom" work.

There is also the possibility of transferring tunes from one person to another. I have a stage 1 auto tune that I'm happy with, and have given this to several people.

The AP comes with standard tunes, but if you have issues with the standard tunes they won't necessarily supply an improved tune for free.

Still the best mod that I've made to my car....

Have fun,
Mike

I actually got an email back from Cobb today asking how much it would cost for them to reflash the device. I was quoted at $450 to reflash it for anyone interested. That's not with shipping, though. I'm assuming you'd have to pay for all of that.

Yeah, doesn't actually seem worth all the trouble, honestly. I don't think they even have a preset price for this, they kind of just ballpark it. It probably takes all of 4 minutes to do as well.

I spoke to them on the phone and was told $450 as well and their Austin headquarters are the only place to do it. It's not subjective.

How the hell do I mark this as sold now? They changed the whole layout of the marketplace and it sucks.
