If the cup holder ash tray is the little rubber thing that goes behind the cup holders I'm interested in that!

 

No sorry. What you are referring to is the coin tray. The cup holder ash tray is a little cup like tray with a flip top that fits into the cup holders.

What color is the ashtray and did you actually use it as an ashtray or just put coins in it? Will it fit a 2012 MCS Hatchback?

 

The ash tray is black and no I did not use it as an ash tray. I would only use it at times to put coins in it. From the best of my knowledge, they never changed the cup holders in the 2007+ Hatchbacks so I see no reason why it couldn't fit. It fits in my Countryman I now have, it's just not as snug.
