This is a complete Alpine Package for your Mini.

I decided to go with the Marine unit for a little extra flare inside the car and the extra protection from the marine coating they use.

Everything is already connected and zip-tied together nicely. All you have to do is connect one wire to the vehicle side of the harness for the steering wheel controls. Other than the one wire this is setup to be plug and play.

Did you have this in a nav mini?
If not is it compatible with nav?

 

I guess im not exactly sure if its compatible. My r53 does not have nav so im not too sure where the nav functions would be?

 

I took a look at pics of some r53's with nav and it looks to be the same radio in those cars too that i have in my own (non nav). So I would have to guess that it would work fine.

Anybody with nav+aftermarket radio want to chime in?

Does this require running wires to the speakers? Or does this utilize the factory amp setup?

 

I did not have to run any extra wiring other than the one wire listed for steering wheel control, and that one is right on the other side of the plug for the radio.
