Good day,

I'm looking to sell my manually dimming "clown nose" interior rearview mirror.

After you've bought it and arrives on your doorstep, you'll probably say to yourself "Did the seller make a mistake and send a brand new one"? Make no mistake, I've cleaned it up and it looks beautiful. It's been well taken care of and properly housed since it was born.

Why would you ever need one? I don't know. But if you do I'm here for you, and it's cheap!

No, I went all fancy and retrofitted the autodimming rearview.

 

I'm thinking of doing the same.. i have a 2013 that apparently doesn't have the proper wiring. How was your install? can you PM me the details..

I also have a '13 R56 S. I actually purchased the dimming mirror with compass only to find there is no wiring to support it. My dealer said all the wiring would be there but all that is there is to support the wireless remote fob. Can you send me the link with how you retrofit yours as well? Thanks my friend.

 

The part number for the retrofit wiring is in the thread that I referenced previously. All they need to do, in my understanding, is install the retrofit wiring/mirror and reprogram.

 

Do you still have your mirror for sale? I let the one in my '05 MCS get wet and the remote door unlock doesn't work anymore.
